Job summary

PeopleStrong is seeking a proactive Maintenance Planning and CBM Coordinator to lead preventive maintenance scheduling, CBM activities, and resource planning across the plant. The role focuses on optimizing uptime and integrating maintenance with operations.

You will maintain equipment hierarchy, oversee shutdowns, and drive safety compliance and IMS adherence, with emphasis on accurate records, KPI reporting, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in preventive maintenance planning and scheduling.
• Knowledge of CMMS / maintenance management systems.
• Ability to plan resources and manage shutdowns.
• Strong safety awareness and compliance.

Job Context: The plant was established & commissioned by ALCAN group in 1971. The assets of this plant were taken over by Hindalco. The plant consists of

• Recycling unit
• Remelt
• Hot Rolling Mill
• Cold rolling roughing mill
• Cold rolling finishing mill
• Two cut to lengths
• Three slitters
• Tension levellar unit

In order to make value added high quality products the unit is constantly upgrading and adding new technology in every machine centers to transform all equipments with best in class features. In addition to the above the maintenance practices are also been reviewed for constant up-gradation incorporating preventive and predictive maintenance practices. All these are being implemented to improve the availability of equipment. In order to effectively implement the Preventive & predictive maintenance practices the unit has initiated its requirement for computerized maintenance management system. In order to effectively implement and sustain the PM , CBM scheduling , monitoring & adhering to the requirements the above position is required.

KRA1 Preventive Maintenance Planning

• Making equipment wise PM plan, schedule & co-ordinate.
• Generation of work orders as per PM schedule & prioritize work
• Work closely with maintenance execution teams, operating teams for preventive maintenance as per schedule in CMMS
• Monitoring monthly adherence & contingency planning against delay in getting shutdowns.
• Estimate effort, labor and material requirement, Order critical parts & material needed
• Review for slippages & preparation of corrective plan.
• Planning of Shutdown and analysis of post shutdown learning’s & review
• Translate maintenance strategy into workplace plans

KRA2 Condition Based Maintenance System

• Develop the plan for condition based maintenance practices across the plant
• Ensure systematic approach for scheduling, maintaining the database & trending of CBM findings and accordingly sending the inputs to the section heads for appropriate actions.
• Maintain database of records for different parameters and ensure
• Analyze the failure history for forecasting the need for maintenance

KRA3 Resource Planning

Collaborate within and outside maintenance team to plan manpower and resources for the most effective maintenance outcomes.

KRA4 Safety & Statutory Compliance

• Hazard & risk assessment of all maintenance activities.
• Monitor safety procedures & LOTO during PM
• Propagate use of safe and clean work habits
• Ensure zero accidents in work area.

KRA5 IMS

Implement the guidelines and clauses of Quality & Environment Management System as per plan.

KRA6 Others

• Ensure systematic tracking of equipment database, maintenance history and job records, cost and spares inventory
• Collaborate within and outside maintenance team to plan manpower and resources for the most effective maintenance outcomes.
