Candidates must possess all of the following essential qualifications on the last date of receipt of applications:

• A Master's Degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation Science, with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever the grading system is followed.
• At least five years as a Librarian at any level in a University / college Library, or 5 years of teaching as Assistant Professor / Associate Professor in Library Science, or 5 years' experience as a College / institution Librarian.
• Evidence of innovative library services, including integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the library.
• A Ph.D. degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation Science / Archives and Manuscript-keeping.

Selection and Interview

Applications will be scrutinised against the UGC qualifications and conditions in the notification.
