Job summary

Merkle invites an experienced QA/QE engineer to join our Bengaluru delivery center as Lead QA. You will drive test strategy, mentor teammates, and oversee both manual and automated testing across REST/SOAP APIs and web applications.

You will collaborate with product, development, and DevOps to ensure release readiness in a fast-paced, distributed environment, leveraging CI/CD and modern QA practices.

Qualifications

• 7+ years experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Engineering across manual and automation testing.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing lifecycle, defect lifecycle, and SDLC/STLC.
• Hands-on design, development, and execution of test plans, scenarios, and cases.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test plans, test scenarios, and test cases based on requirements.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, and UAT testing.
• Collaborate with developers, BAs, product owners, and cross-functional teams for issue resolution.
• Contribute to test automation frameworks and CI/CD integration.

practical experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Engineering may also be considered.### Key Skills* Minimum 7+ years of experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Engineering across manual and automation testing.* Strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing lifecycle, defect lifecycle, and software development lifecycle (SDLC/STLC).* Hands-on experience in designing, developing, and executing test plans, test scenarios, and test cases based on business and functional requirements.* Strong experience in functional testing, regression testing, integration testing, system testing, smoke testing, sanity testing, and UAT support.* Experience in test automation using tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, WebDriver.io, Cypress, or equivalent.* Good knowledge of API walkthroughs, design discussions, sprint ceremonies, and release planning.* Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology and experience working in sprint-based delivery models.* Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar.* Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate quality risks, test progress, defects, and release readiness.* Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced delivery environment.## Experience* Should have a minimum of 7+ years of experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Engineering.* Experience working in product development, digital platforms, enterprise applications, BFSI, healthcare, retail, telecom, or technology services environments would be preferred.*
