Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. in Bengaluru, Karnataka is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to install, commission, and service CNC machines at customer sites.

With 3–5 years in CNC/machine tool field service, you will diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, work with CNC and PLC, and travel up to 75% to support regional customers. You will document service activities and coordinate with global teams, bringing strong English skills and a structured, customer‑oriented

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in a field service role in CNC/machine tool industry.
• Strong diagnostics across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems; CNC/PLC knowledge.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics and engineering drawings.
• Willingness to travel up to 75%, valid driver’s license, and good English skills.

Job description

Profile | Qualifications:

• Approx. 3–5 years of experience in a field service role, ideally within the CNC or machine tool industry
• Strong skills in diagnosing electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, as well as CNC (and ideally PLC) technologies
• Solid knowledge of CNC milling; experience with Heidenhain controls is an advantage
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics and engineering drawings
• Independent and structured working style combined with a strong service and customer-oriented mindset, with the ability to operate in a developing market environment
• High willingness to travel (up to approx. 75%), valid driver’s license and very good English skills
