Job summary

Atlas Copco India in Gurgaon seeks a Field Service Engineer to handle day-to-day service activities, commissioning and startup support for SCA plants in the automotive sector, and on-site installation and maintenance of equipment.

The role involves electrical and mechanical servicing, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and providing customer guidance to improve product uptime and life cycle. Prior PLC control experience and pumps/robotic system exposure are desirable.

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Electric / Electronics Engineering.
• 2-3 years of field experience in servicing industrial products, preferably pumps, sealing systems, and paint systems.
• Knowledge of PLC & control systems; robotic installation/background is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Look into day-to-day service functions and resolve issues in the assigned territory.
• Commissioning and start-up support of customer plants in the automotive sector.
• Installation and servicing of equipment both electrically and mechanically.
• Supervise preventive maintenance and maintenance tasks.
• Troubleshoot, provide service, perform root-cause analysis and present findings to customers.

Job Role:

• To look into the day-to-day functions of the service related jobs and resolve day-to-day issues in the specified Territory / Customer Allocated in the region
• Commissioning and start-up support of the SCA plants to our customers in the automotive industry
• Installation and servicing of equipment both electrically and mechanically
• Supervision and execution of preventive maintenance and maintenance
• Troubleshooting, provide service to customers, discuss with them, make route cause analysis and give presentations to customer to improve life cycle of the Product.
• Customer support, follow regular service reports and information as advised from time to time.
• Promote requisite spares, submit offers & be accountable for spares orders
• Payment follow up, TDS Certificate & ‘C’ form collection for all allocated customers.
• Comply with regulations and standards, and protect the organization’s public reputation.
• Guide service technicians to perform duties effectively.
• Handle the key account directly and ensure customer satisfaction
• Close Co-ordination with sales, project teams for proper execution of Installation of machine allocated & Service Plan.
• Customer Training / Education to ensure better up-time of the product also guide & train internal team.

To succeed you will need:

Education & Experience requirements

Degree/Diploma in Electric / Electronics Engineering.
2-3 years of field experience in servicing of Industrial products. Preferably pumps, sealing systems, paint systems, with good knowledge of PLC & control systems.
Robotic system installation & automotive OEM’s site installations background will be preferred
