Job summary

Atlas Copco Group in Coimbatore is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our dynamic field service team. You will travel to customer sites across India, manage service operations and ensure maximum uptime of CNG stations in your territory.

The role requires 2–3 years of service experience (preferably with CNG compressors) and a Degree/Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. You should be ready to travel extensively and communicate effectively in English.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage service & operations within territory to maximize uptime of CNG stations.
• Oversee O&M contracts, inventory, subcontractors and preventive maintenance.
• Coordinate commissioning, service reporting, invoicing and payment follow-up.
• Ensure compliance with service agreements and legal requirements.
• Plan and deliver technical training for dealers and customers.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, consultants and technical teams.
• Travel extensively to visit customers across India.

Key Responsibilities

• Service & Operations Management
• Ensure maximum uptime of CNG stations within the assigned territory.
• Manage O&M contracts, inventory, subcontractors, and preventive maintenance activities.
• Oversee commissioning, service reporting, job closure, invoicing, and payment follow-up.
• Ensure compliance with service agreements and legal requirements.
• Plan and deliver technical training for dealers and customers.
• Customer Relationship Management
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, consultants, and technical teams.
• Conduct regular customer visits and ensure high service satisfaction.
• Compliance & Governance
• Adhere to Atlas Copco's Vision, Mission, Core Values, Business Code of Conduct, and SHE guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
• Coordination & Business Support
• Coordinate effectively with order execution, PC, ISC, and service teams.
• Provide prompt resolution of customer queries.
• Take ownership of all CNG service, technical, and operational activities within the assigned territory.

To succeed, you will need

• Experience requirements - 2 to 3 years of service experience is required, with prior exposure to the CNG Compressor being preferred.
• Educational requirements - Degree/Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is required.

Job location

You will be part of our customer center in Coimbatore. You will join a dynamic field service team, working remotely and spending a significant amount of time traveling to visit customers within your designated area, India (IN).
