Job summary

Suntec Energy is seeking a Field Service Engineer / Combustion Technician in Ahmedabad to commission, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot burners systems. You will support clients on-site and remotely, train junior staff, and help expand service offerings. English proficiency and a 3+ year burner experience are required.

Work includes travel across India or abroad, overtime, and eventual involvement in system modernization projects, with a focus on safe, efficient burner control performance.

Job description

Field service engineer / Combustion Technician: Burners Division.

Position Responsibilities

• Commissioning, Maintenance, Repair & Troubleshooting of combustion (Burners) systems and fuel trains.
• Process engineering commissioning of combustion systems
• Provide onsite and remote technical support to clients.
• Active collaboration in building new Service areas (e.g., Proactive recommendation of required/suggested spare parts to Customers)
• Ability and willingness to travel on short notice, onboard in the region, but occasionally across India or abroad.
• Conduct training for Junior and Trainee Service Engineers and provide Technical Support
• Participation in modernization works and modifications of existing installations
• Able to train other employees on the operation of combustion systems and fuel trains.
• Must be able to read and work from schematics.
• Must have the ability and knowledge to troubleshoot systems with no schematic.
• Diagnose malfunctions of equipment to determine the cause and appropriate corrective action.
• Will need to perform preventative maintenance tasks according to established protocols.
• Competency to conduct a complete combustion analysis, determine drafting, and make recommendations to optimize burner control systems.

Minimum Requirements:

• Diploma / Degree in Electrical OR Mechanical Engineering trade
• Min 3-year work experience in the same field (burners company - Benton, Unagis, Elco, Eco flame, Weishaupt, etc.)
• Able to read & write in English language

Work Environment:

• Field service environment working at customers’ job sites. May be required to work overtime, weekends, and on-call.
• Occasionally exposed to work conditions in extreme temperatures and loud environments.
