Job summary

KriPa Enterprise in Surat, India seeks a skilled service engineer/technician to repair, maintain, troubleshoot, and service fibre optic fusion splicing machines used in FTTH network installations. The role requires hands-on electronics knowledge and strong hardware troubleshooting skills.

You will perform preventive maintenance, soldering, PCB inspection, testing, and provide technical feedback while keeping service records and supporting customers and field technicians as needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma/ITI or equivalent in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation or related field.
• Hands-on electronics troubleshooting and repair experience.
• Familiarity with PCB, SMPS, batteries, DC power circuits and soldering.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair fibre optic fusion splicing machines.
• Troubleshoot hardware issues including motherboard, power supply and displays.
• Perform preventive maintenance and servicing of fusion splicing equipment.
• Identify faulty components and perform troubleshooting.
• Soldering, PCB inspection, testing and basic repairs.
• Test and verify machine operation after maintenance.
• Maintain service records and provide technical feedback.
• Support customers and field technicians with troubleshooting when needed.

Job description

We are looking for a skilled and technically experienced service engineer/technician to join our team for the repair, maintenance, troubleshooting, and servicing of fibre optic fusion splicing machines.

The candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing fusion splicing machines used in fiber optic and FTTH network installations. This role requires strong practical knowledge of electronics, electrical troubleshooting, and equipment maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair fibre optic fusion splicing machines.
• Troubleshoot motherboard, power supply, charging, battery, display, heating, motor, and other hardware-related issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance and servicing of fusion splicing equipment.
• Identify faulty electronic components and perform component-level troubleshooting where required.
• Handle soldering, PCB inspection, testing, and basic electronic repairs.
• Troubleshoot machine power-on, charging, calibration, alignment, and operational issues.
• Replace electrodes and other consumable or damaged components.
• Perform testing and quality checks after repair.
• Maintain proper service records and provide technical feedback.
• Support customers and field technicians with technical troubleshooting when required.

Required Skills

• Diploma / ITI / relevant technical qualification in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, or a related field.
• Practical experience in electronics troubleshooting and repair.
• Knowledge of PCB, SMPS, batteries, DC power circuits, soldering, and electronic components.
• Experience with fiber optic fusion splicing machines will be highly preferred.
• Ability to use a multimeter, DC power supply, soldering station, and other electronic testing equipment.
• Good problem-solving and diagnostic skills.Ability to work independently and handle technical issues efficiently.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience repairing Fujikura, Sumitomo, INNO, Fitel, Signal Fire, star splicing machines,or other fusion splicing machines will be preferred.

Freshers with strong electronics repair skills and a willingness to learn fusion splicing machine servicing may also be considered.
