Service Engineer
Location: Mumbai; Raipur, Chhattisgarh; Rajkot, Gujarat India
Experience: 2–6 years
About the Company

We are a company serving customers through analytical instruments and accessories. Our service organization supports installation, commissioning, maintenance, breakdown resolution, consumables, spare parts, and service contracts, with customer satisfaction and timely issue resolution at its core.

About the Role

As a Service Engineer, you will own the customer experience after an analytical instrument or accessory is sold. Reporting to the Area Service Manager, you will install, commission, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment at customer sites across your assigned location. You will manage warranty, AMC, and breakdown visits within agreed turnaround times, using technical diagnosis and structured follow‑up to reduce customer downtime. The role also owns accurate Salesforce and SAP documentation, timely DAR submission, MIS reporting, and coordination with internal support teams. Alongside service delivery, you will contribute to revenue by supporting accessory, consumable, spare‑parts, and service‑contract sales. Success means reliable equipment performance, strong first‑time fix outcomes, responsive customer communication, high CSAT, controlled service costs, and consistent achievement of operational and commercial targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and commission analytical instruments and accessories at customer sites, owning setup, calibration, functional verification, and handover quality so equipment becomes operational on schedule.
  • Execute warranty and Annual Maintenance Contract visits through planned service processes, maintaining equipment reliability and protecting customer uptime across assigned accounts.
  • Diagnose and resolve breakdowns within defined SLA and TAT requirements, improving first‑time fix performance and minimizing operational disruption for customers.
  • Coordinate proactively with customers, Area Service Managers, internal technical teams, and commercial stakeholders to close service issues and maintain clear ownership through resolution.
  • Record every service activity accurately in Salesforce and SAP, submit DAR reports promptly, and maintain dependable MIS data for operational review and decision‑making.
  • Support revenue generation by identifying opportunities for accessories, consumables, spare parts, and AMC, ISP, and CRM contracts while strengthening customer relationships.
  • Collect relevant customer references and service insights, converting positive service outcomes into opportunities for business expansion and stronger market coverage.
Essential Skills & Technologies
  • Advanced analytical problem‑solving and instrument troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose technical issues systematically and deliver reliable first‑time resolutions.
  • Strong customer communication, coordination, influencing, and persuasion skills, enabling clear expectations, timely follow‑up, and constructive resolution of service concerns.
  • Working proficiency with Salesforce, SAP, DAR reporting, and MIS processes, ensuring complete service documentation, traceability, and accurate operational reporting.
Additional Plus
  • Experience servicing analytical instruments, laboratory equipment, accessories, or comparable technical products in customer‑facing field environments.
  • Exposure to AMC, ISP, CRM, spare‑parts, consumables, or accessory sales, with the ability to recognize and support relevant commercial opportunities.
  • Familiarity with service‑level agreements, TAT management, CSAT measurement, first‑time fix improvement, and spare‑parts usage efficiency.
What You’ll Bring
  • You will bring 2–6 years of experience in field service, technical support, instrumentation, electronics, or a related customer‑facing engineering environment. A B.E. in Electronics or Instrumentation is preferred.
  • You should be comfortable working directly at customer sites, installing and commissioning equipment, performing calibration and functional checks, and troubleshooting technical problems under time pressure. Strong ownership is essential because you will be accountable for service requests from initial diagnosis through resolution and follow‑up.
  • You will communicate clearly with customers and internal teams, maintain accurate records, and use Salesforce, SAP, DAR reports, and MIS processes with discipline. A customer‑first mindset, proactive planning, and practical problem‑solving approach will help you protect uptime and achieve high CSAT.
  • You should also be commercially aware, able to identify accessory, consumable, spare‑parts, and service‑contract opportunities without compromising service quality. Success requires responsiveness, reliable execution, willingness to travel to customer locations, and commitment to SLA, TAT, FTFR, cost, and revenue expectations.
Why Join Us
  • Own meaningful customer outcomes by keeping analytical instruments operational, resolving issues within defined timelines, and directly influencing customer satisfaction and business continuity.
  • Build broad technical and commercial capability through hands‑on exposure to installation, commissioning, maintenance, breakdown resolution, service contracts, accessories, consumables, and spare parts.
  • Work in a structured service environment where Salesforce, SAP, MIS, SLA, TAT, CSAT, and first‑time fix measures make performance expectations clear and actionable.
What We Offer
  • A field‑based Service Engineer opportunity across Raipur, Rajkot, or Mumbai, with direct responsibility for customer‑site installation, commissioning, maintenance, and technical issue resolution.
