Job summary

Genpact is seeking a seasoned procurement professional to lead goods and services sourcing, negotiate contracts, and manage RFP/RFX/RFQ processes using ERP tools. The role emphasizes eAuction, S2P/P2P workflows, and realizing savings with clear collaboration across category managers.

The candidate will develop strategies, draft contracts, and ensure compliance with procurement policies while engaging internal/external stakeholders to drive operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or higher in business, engineering, or supply chain fields.
• Experience with RFP/RFX/RFQ processes and ERP/procurement tools.
• Understanding of eAuction processes is mandatory.
• Knowledge of upstream and downstream sourcing (S2P, P2P).
• Strong negotiation and supplier management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Procure goods and services, obtain quotations, develop proposals, and negotiate contracts of low to moderate value/risk.
• Manage RFP/RFX/RFQ processes via ERP/procurement tools.
• Understand and apply eAuction strategies.
• Oversee S2P and P2P sourcing processes and pipeline review.
• Draft contracts and ensure savings are recorded in client systems.
• Collaborate with category managers and business units to deliver procurement strategy.

Job Description Role and Responsibilities:

• Procure goods and services obtain quotation develop proposals and/or negotiate contracts of low to moderate value/risk consistent with client requirements.
• Good understanding and experience of RFP / RFX / RFQ is required to be managed via formal ERP / procurement tool-based sourcing.
• Understanding of e Auction is mandatory.
• Understanding on upstream and downstream sourcing process namely S2 P and P2 P process.
• Manage Proactive engagements activity for operational planned spend opportunities within defined operational spend levels
• Manage transactional buying desk activities and support wider category management including raising purchase orders
• Quotation analysis and recommendations consideration suitability/reliability of suppliers to meet operational requirements and as per Client Procurement Policy/Sourcing guidelines
• Negotiate with Suppliers on both Commercial and Non-Commercial Clauses as per guidance
• Obtain approval from Client Category Manager on finalized projects
• Support Drafting of Contract as Client and Senior Buyer instructions
• Record Savings in the Client Savings Data Base
• Engagement with operational teams to review pipeline and track savings opportunities
• Work closely with category managers and business units to establish and deliver procurement requirements strategic benefits and compliance to existing procurement contracts
• Should be able to effectively manage internal / external customers & stake holders
• Assumes additional responsibilities: as assigned
• Develop ideas and strategies to improve operational efficiency add value aid business performance and work towards a strategy of continuous improvement.
• Act as a single point of contact to the client and maintain good relations.
