Genpact in India is seeking a senior procurement leader to guide the team in achieving key KPI targets across spend categories. You will oversee sourcing, reporting, and value engineering initiatives to optimize costs while collaborating with partners and stakeholders.

The role emphasizes process improvements, capacity optimization, and building a high-performing procurement function, with mentorship for team members and adherence to best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or higher degrees in business, engineering or SCM-related fields and professional ISM/ISM CPSD CPSM/CPM certifications.
• Experience leading Sourcing/Procurement teams and delivering value through cost optimization and category leadership.
• Proven ability to mentor teams, drive process improvements and manage cross-functional programs.

Job Description Responsibilities

• Lead and guide the procurement team to achieve key performance metrics as defined in the Statement of Work (SOW).
• Oversee ad-hoc sourcing and procurement activities to ensure the organization acquires the best value on all spend categories.
• Prepare and analyze team performance reports, explain variances, and collaborate with partners to produce actionable performance insights.
• Identify and execute Value Engineering initiatives to eliminate non-value-added activities, optimize costs, and enhance supplier relationships.
• Lead process improvement and capacity optimization initiatives, collaborating across teams to deliver customer‑centric solutions.
• Mentor and develop team members, fostering employee engagement, skill growth, and adherence to best practices in procurement operations.
• Provide category leadership and strategic direction to Sourcing Buyers and Analysts, ensuring alignment with business goals and procurement standards.
