Job summary

Actowiz Solutions in Ahmedabad is seeking a Server Executive with 1–2 years of hands-on experience to manage our hosting infrastructure across 15+ domains, websites, and applications.

You will configure Apache/Nginx, PHP, MySQL/MariaDB, and SSL; monitor health and uptime; handle DNS, backups, security, and deployments; collaborate with PHP, Python, SEO, and digital teams. This is a full-time on-site role.

Qualifications

1–2 years hands-on experience in Server Administration or Hosting Support.
Strong knowledge of Linux/Ubuntu Server administration.
Good working knowledge of Apache and Nginx.
Experience managing VPS, cloud, and dedicated servers.
DNS and domain configuration experience (A, CNAME, MX, TXT, SPF, DKIM, DMARC).
SSL certificate installation, renewal, troubleshooting.
PHP server environments and PHP extensions.
Basic to intermediate knowledge of MySQL/MariaDB.
SSH, SFTP/FTP, Cron Jobs, permissions, users, and Linux commands.
Server monitoring: CPU, RAM, disk, bandwidth, uptime.
Backup, restore, migration knowledge.
Firewall, security, SSH hardening, access control.
Troubleshooting 500/502/503/504, DNS, SSL, DB, connectivity issues.
Manage and monitor multiple domains and servers simultaneously.

Responsibilities

Manage, monitor, and maintain servers supporting 15+ domains, websites, applications, and databases.
Monitor server health, uptime, CPU, RAM, disk usage, bandwidth, and performance.
Configure and maintain Apache/Nginx, PHP, MySQL/MariaDB, Virtual Hosts, and SSL.
Manage domain and DNS configurations and troubleshoot DNS-related issues.
Install, configure, renew, and troubleshoot SSL certificates.
Perform server deployment, configuration, migration, and maintenance activities.
Monitor and maintain regular website and database backups and perform restoration when required.
Configure and monitor Cron Jobs and automated server tasks.
Troubleshoot website, application, database, email, DNS, SSL, and server-related issues.
Monitor server logs and identify errors, abnormal activity, and potential performance issues.
Maintain server security, firewall rules, user permissions, SSH access, and security updates.
Monitor SMTP/email delivery, mail queues, and server-related email issues where applicable.
Coordinate with PHP, Python, SEO, Digital Marketing, and other technical teams for server-related requirements.
Support developers during application deployment and production releases.
Maintain documentation of servers, domains, IPs, databases, configurations, backups, and incidents.
Respond quickly to server downtime, critical alerts, and infrastructure-related incidents.
Proactively identify potential server issues and take preventive action before they impact websites or applications.

Required Skills

Knowledge of Docker and containerized applications.

Experience deploying Python, Node.js, or other web applications.
Knowledge of Redis, Elasticsearch, or other application services.
Experience with CI/CD and automated deployment.
Familiarity with server monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Zabbix, or similar tools.
Knowledge of Linux server hardening and security best practices.
Experience with server migration and disaster recovery.
Basic knowledge of SMTP, PHPMailer, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
Experience handling high-traffic websites, data processing servers, or web scraping infrastructure will be an advantage.
