Job summary

Zoho in Pune, Maharashtra is seeking a motivated SEO/AEO intern to support multiple aspects of search engine optimization. You will perform keyword research, analyze competitors, and help optimize product and category pages for better visibility.

Responsibilities

• Conduct keyword research and competitor analysis to identify SEO opportunities across product and category pages.

• Support technical SEO audits — site speed, crawl ability, indexing, structured data/schema markup, mobile-friendliness.
• Build and execute link-building/outreach strategies to earn quality backlinks.
• Track rankings, organic traffic, and conversions using Google Search Console, GA4, and SEO tools (SEMrush/Uber Suggest).

• Structure websiteand content (FAQs, schema, concise answer blocks) to improve visibility inAI-generated answers (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Gemini).
• Monitor howOne touch/Coalesce content is being cited (or missed) in AI search results andidentify content gaps.
• Implementstructured data (FAQ schema, HowTo schema, Product schema) to improvemachine-readability of content.

Stay updated on evolving AEO/AI-search best practices and test newoptimization approaches.

Requirements

• 0–1 years ofexperience in SEO/AEO — internship experience is fully acceptable for thisrole.
• Basicunderstanding of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO fundamentals.
• Familiarity withGoogle Search Console, Google Analytics (GA4), and at least one SEO tool(SEMrush, Uber suggest, or similar).
• Basicunderstanding of schema markup/structured data (or willingness to learnquickly).
• Curiosity andawareness of how AI answer engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, AI Overviews)surface content — genuine interest in this emerging field.
• Good writtencommunication skills for content optimization and reporting.
• Analyticalmindset with attention to detail.
