The ideal candidate will have a strong command of the primary stack (WordPress, PHP, MySQL) and a passion for building high-performance, secure, and scalable websites.

You will be responsible for custom theme and plugin development, API integrations, and maintaining code quality across our digital products.

• 2+ years of proven work experience as a WordPress Developer.
• Strong understanding of legacy and modern WordPress architecture.
• Experience with database structure and query optimization.
• Familiarity with debugging tools and browser compatibility testing.
• Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages.
• Excellent documentation skills for technical support and handover.

Responsibilities

• Core Development: Design, develop, and customize WordPress websites, including custom Theme and Plugin development.
• Backend Engineering: Manage backend development using PHP and MySQL. Implement and optimize Redis for object caching to reduce database load.
• API Integration: robustly integrate REST APIs and third-party data providers; develop custom endpoints when necessary.
• Performance & SEO: Optimize websites for maximum speed, scalability, and Core Web Vitals. Implement technical SEO best practices.
• Security: Implement security protocols, fix vulnerabilities, and ensure safe data handling.
• Maintenance & Support: Handle website maintenance, bug fixing, troubleshooting, and uptime support.
• Collaboration: Work closely with QA, DevOps, and Design teams to ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsive design.
• Lifecycle Management: Manage deployment, release support, and version control using Git.
