Job summary

Accendra Health in Pune seeks a seasoned Windows/VMware System Administrator to manage VMware vSphere environments (6.5+), Windows Server OS upgrades, and daily operations. The role requires strong PowerShell scripting, AD/DNS/DHCP management, and familiarity with storage arrays such as IBM V7k, Pure, and NetApp. A 24x7 shift mindset is essential.

Day to day activities include developing and documenting system specifications, implementing hardware and OS, maintaining high operational uptime stringent SLAs, coordinating with applications and database teams and other operational and project-based tasks as well as mentoring teammates and developing KPIs and operational standards. This is a high-level position so please review the list of responsibilities and qualifications listed below.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere Suite, versions 6.5 and aboveHands on experience with Windows Server versions 2012 and aboveGood understanding of VMware VCF/VSAN/NSXPatch management automation and troubleshootingExperience in “commercial off the shelf” (COTS)/GOTS/FOSS software installationsSTIG settings to each product or underlying OSAbility to work independently and troubleshoot problems with speed and efficiency.Effectively interact with internal and external personnel to coordinate and resolve complex issues Planning, deployment, installation, and upgrades of OS and applicationsIntegration with Enterprise level administration of common network services such as Active Directory, DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP and troubleshooting.High level analytics and research skills - must be detail oriented.Hands on experience in writing PowerShell script.Knowledge of external storage systems such as IBM V7k, Pure Storage and NetappKnowledge of Active Directory services, LDAPKnowledge of Terminal/Citrix XenApp/Xendesktop serverUnderstanding of general network topology and operationDemonstrated ability to research and create detailed computing system documentation and operational guides/procedures.Experience developing, documenting, deploying, and maintaining Windows golden OS images.Understanding of ITIL process & termsQualificationsEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:6-8 years of experience as a Windows/VMware System AdministratorStrong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with a diverse user community in quick-response situations and to coordinate / collaborate with team members.Experience developing effective, proactive monitoring and alerting to assure system uptime.High level troubleshooting skills at the OS, virtualization and hardware layerUnderstanding of networking topology and protocolsClear and concise communications both written and verbal.Good Understanding of AIADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Ready to work in 24X7 Shifts & on call schedule.Training: The post holder will be expected to undertake training to ensure that her/his skills are current.If you feel this opportunity could be the next step in your career, we encourage you to apply.Accendra is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
