Job summary

Birlasoft Limited seeks a Senior Windchill Developer to design, develop, and integrate Windchill solutions for a global PLM program. You will work across CAD and ERP integrations, implement workflows, lifecycles, and BOM control, and apply AI-assisted development to accelerate delivery. This senior role requires strong Java/J2EE and web services skills, in a large enterprise environment.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years hands-on Windchill implementation, development, and customization.
• Proficiency with Windchill architecture and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with Windchill PDMLink configuration and customization.
• Expertise in workflows, lifecycles, access controls, change management, and BOM management.
• Experience with Windchill Part Classification and classification trees.

Senior Windchill Developer

The Senior Windchill Developer will support the Ingersoll Rand Enterprise PLM program and global Windchill initiatives. This role will design, develop, integrate, and support scalable PTC Windchill solutions that improve engineering productivity and enable profitable growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, and support Windchill solutions aligned with the Enterprise PLM strategy.
• Collaborate with PLM architects, IT teams, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and define solutions.
• Map business requirements to out-of-the-box Windchill capabilities and identify justified customization needs.
• Develop and customize Windchill PDMLink, including workflows, lifecycles, access controls, change management, and business rules.
• Configure and customize Windchill Part Classification, including classification structures, classification trees, binding attributes, reusable attributes, and classification-based search.
• Collaborate with engineering and business teams to define and maintain standardized part taxonomies and attribute models.
• Integrate Windchill with CAD applications such as Creo and AutoCAD, downstream ERP systems, and other enterprise applications.
• Troubleshoot application issues, perform root-cause analysis and Develop scalable, reusable, secure, and maintainable solution frameworks.
• Apply AI-assisted development and automation to simplify solutions, improve quality, and accelerate delivery.
• Maintain technical designs, deployment documentation, support procedures, and development standards.

Mandatory Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 6 - 10 years of hands-on PTC Windchill implementation, development, and customization experience.
• Strong knowledge of Windchill architecture and industrial manufacturing processes.
• Hands-on experience with Windchill PDMLink configuration and customization.
• Expertise in workflows, lifecycle management, access controls, change management, and BOM management.
• Hands-on experience with Windchill Part Classification, including classification administration, classification trees, attribute management, reusable attributes, and classified-part search.
• Experience with Windchill APIs, database schemas, SQL, debugging Experience with CAD data management and PLM-CAD integration; Experience integrating Windchill with ERP systems and other enterprise applications.
• Proficiency in: Java/J2EE and AngularJS JSP, Servlets, MVC frameworks, and object-oriented programming RESTful and SOAP web services XML, XSD, XSLT, and JSON Unix/Linux scripting Experience using AI to enhance PLM solutions, reduce complexity, improve code quality, or accelerate development.
• Experience working in large-scale, global enterprise environments.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, presentation, and technical documentation skills.
