Senior Web Developer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Web Developer with strong proficiency in Drupal 9 and Drupal 10, as well as hands‑on experience with other leading CMS platforms, including WordPress, Shopify, Laravel, and Webflow. The ideal candidate will be responsible for architecting, developing, maintaining, and optimizing complex, secure, and scalable websites while ensuring high performance, accessibility, and compliance with industry standards.

The Senior Web Developer will lead end‑to‑end development activities, including requirement analysis, technical architecture, custom module development, theme customization, API integrations, and CMS upgrades. They will play a key role in implementing best practices for security, performance optimization, SEO, and accessibility (WCAG), while ensuring compliance with relevant standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI DSS, where applicable.

The ideal professional will have strong experience with PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, Tailwind, JavaScript, and modern front‑end frameworks, along with hands‑on experience with REST/JSON APIs, headless CMS architectures, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud hosting environments. Experience in website migrations, multi‑site architectures, and performance tools is a strong advantage. Developing the website content type architecture using the Drush command‑line tool, or programmatically via the Configuration API. Knowledge of DDEV is an added advantage.

This role requires close collaboration with designers, QA teams, project managers, and stakeholders to deliver high‑quality digital solutions within defined timelines. The candidate is expected to mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes.

Job Description

• Developing front‑end and back‑end web architecture for Drupal & WordPress CMS based websites
• Improve overall website implementation methodology: requirements gathering, project estimation & planning, implementation, testing, go‑live & monthly support
• Cooperate with web designers to match visual design intent and clean handoff from design layout to implementation
• Implement analytics and best practices of SEO, code, JS, and CSS optimization
• Sound knowledge of how to fix Web Core Vitals issues
• Deep knowledge of PHP‑based CMS custom module development
• Develop and consume REST APIs
• Build out a strong website maintenance offering
• Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them to operations and activities
• Collaborate closely with UX and UI teams to explore opportunities to enhance performance of digital assets
• Hands‑on knowledge of Drush commands, theme customization, API integrations, and CMS upgrades
• Manage, lead, coach, train, and empower the web development team
