The ideal candidate understands how animation, video, icons, illustrations, and visual assets can guide users, explain functionality, communicate system feedback, and elevate the overall product experience.

Responsibilities

• Motion & UX Design: Design and deliver motion solutions that enhance usability, comprehension, and engagement across digital products.
• Partner with UX designers and product teams to incorporate motion into user flows, interactions, micro-interactions, and prototypes.
• Apply motion to communicate product behavior, state changes, hierarchy, and system feedback.
• Develop storyboards, interaction animations, prototypes, and lightweight videos to support onboarding, feature education, and product storytelling.
• Collaborate with engineering to ensure motion designs are technically feasible and implemented as intended.
• Visual Design & Video Creation: Create high-quality visual assets to support product and digital initiatives, including icons and icon systems.
• Illustrations and decorative elements.
• Banners, posters, and promotional creatives.
• Short videos or motion-led visual assets as needed.
• Ensure all visual and motion deliverables align with brand guidelines, UX standards, and digital design systems.
• Support digital promotions, loyalty initiatives, and enterprise features where strong visuals or motion improve the product experience.
• Collaboration & Delivery: Work closely with UX, product, marketing, and engineering partners to deliver cohesive visual and motion experiences.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting timelines and maintaining high craft quality.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to improving overall motion and visual quality within the UX practice.

Must-Have Knowledge & Skills

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate UX, motion, and visual design decisions clearly.
• Ability to work autonomously as an individual contributor and take ownership from concept through execution.
• Strong understanding of UX fundamentals and how motion and visuals support usability and clarity.
• Solid foundation in visual design principles including typography, layout, color, hierarchy, and consistency.
• Strong grasp of motion principles such as timing, easing, continuity, and hierarchy applied to UI and digital contexts.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing motion and visuals for digital products or enterprise-scale platforms.
• Experience creating motion for onboarding, micro-interactions, feature education, and system feedback.

• Experience working in agile or iterative product development environments.

Education & Experience

• Education: Bachelor's / 4-year degree
• Experience: 5+ years of relevant work experience
• Background: Degree in UX Design, Motion Design, Graphic Design, Animation, or a related field preferred. Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
