The Senior Virtual Event Consultant is a strategic customer advisor responsible for managing the successful planning, implementation, and delivery of virtual events and digital engagement programs on the ON24 platform. This role combines customer consulting, project management, event execution, and technical expertise to ensure customers maximize the value of ON24's solutions while delivering exceptional attendee experiences.
As a senior individual contributor, the Senior Virtual Event Consultant serves as the primary customer contact throughout the event lifecycle, leading planning sessions, managing project execution, supporting live events, and providing post-event strategic recommendations. This role also mentors junior consultants, contributes to process improvements, and serves as a subject matter expert across ON24's event delivery organization. This role focuses primarily on event delivery and customer success.
In This Role, You Will:
- Serve as the primary advisor for assigned customer programs, guiding customers through planning, execution, and optimization of webinars and virtual events.
- Conduct event planning sessions to understand customer objectives, audience, messaging, and success metrics.
- Recommend ON24 platform capabilities and best practices to help customers achieve their business goals.
- Develop trusted relationships with customer stakeholders through exceptional service and strategic guidance.
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of customer webinars, virtual events, and digital experiences.
- Configure ON24 events, including registration pages, consoles, branding, audience experiences, engagement tools, and reporting.
- Coordinate all event logistics, timelines, and deliverables with customers and internal teams.
- Perform event-related activities including:
- Event setup and configuration
- Conference bridge scheduling
- Speaker rehearsals
- Console and experience customization
- Audience support
- Reporting and analytics
- Live event moderation and technical support
- Ensure successful live event execution while proactively resolving issues to deliver a seamless customer and attendee experience.
- Manage multiple concurrent customer engagements while maintaining quality, timelines, and customer satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain project plans, customer documentation, status updates, and implementation schedules.
- Identify project risks, manage dependencies, and communicate progress to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate activities across Customer Success, Technical Support, Product, and other internal teams as needed.
- Act as a subject matter expert on the ON24 platform and event production best practices.
- Provide guidance on standard platform capabilities, workflows, and integrations.
- Support customers with technical troubleshooting and coordinate with Platform Support for more complex issues.
- Maintain working knowledge of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and common marketing technology integrations.
- Conduct post-event reviews to analyze performance metrics and recommend future improvements.
- Deliver customer training and educate users on ON24 functionality and best practices.
- Identify opportunities to improve adoption, engagement, and customer outcomes.
- Partner with Customer Success Managers and Account Managers to support customer retention and growth initiatives.
- Mentor and support Virtual Event Consultants and new team members.
- Share best practices, reusable assets, and lessons learned across the team.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance delivery processes and customer experience.
- Serve as an escalation point for complex event delivery challenges.
Here’s What You Need:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- 7–13 years of experience in virtual event management, SaaS customer success, implementation consulting, project management, or a related customer-facing role.
- Experience managing customer projects from planning through successful execution.
- Strong understanding of webinar and virtual event technologies.
- Exceptional customer service and relationship management skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- High attention to detail with the ability to execute under tight deadlines.
- Experience with the ON24 platform or comparable webinar and virtual event platforms is preferred.
- Intermediate knowledge of HTML and CSS.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Familiarity with CRM and marketing automation platforms such as Salesforce, Marketo, HubSpot, Eloqua, or similar solutions.
- Understanding of digital engagement metrics and reporting.
- Experience supporting enterprise customers.
- Experience leading live webinar and virtual event production.
- Knowledge of marketing technology ecosystems and standard integrations.
- Project management certification or equivalent experience.
- Experience mentoring or coaching team members.
