We're Hiring: Senior Video Editor
Location: Pune (Kharadi) (Work From Office)
Experience: Senior Level (3-5+ years)
About the Role
We're looking for a Senior Video Editor who can independently take raw footage and turn it into scroll-stopping, publish-ready content, with zero hand-holding. You'll be handling two distinct content formats: podcast-style long-form content (multi-camera setups) and event/lifestyle reels, so versatility and speed matter as much as craft.
This is a senior role. We need someone who already knows the difference between a good cut and a great one, who catches their own mistakes before we do, and who can hold a conversation with the team about creative direction, not just take instructions and disappear.
Software / Tools You Should Know
- Adobe Premiere Pro primary editing software (must-have)
- DaVinci Resolve — color grading and multi-cam editing
- Final Cut Pro X (FCPX) — good to have, especially if you're Mac-native
- AI Video Generation/Editing Tools (e.g., Runway, CapCut AI, Adobe Premiere's AI features, ElevenLabs for voice, or similar) — for quick turnarounds, auto-captions, AI b-roll, and trend-based edits
- Adobe After Effects — basic motion graphics and text animations (good to have)
What You'll Be Doing
Podcast Editing (Multi-Cam)
- Edit long-form podcast content shot across 3 camera angles, syncing and switching angles seamlessly based on conversation flow, energy, and reactions
- Cut down long-form podcasts into high-performing short reels/clips for Instagram and YouTube Shorts
- Add captions, sound design, pacing cuts, and visual hooks that keep retention high in the first 3 seconds
Event & Lifestyle Reels
- Edit event coverage, BTS content, and lifestyle reels into polished, story-driven short videos
- Work with varied raw footage (multiple shooters, inconsistent lighting/audio) and make it look intentional
- Maintain a consistent visual identity and pacing style across all content
General
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously without dropping quality
- Organize and archive raw footage and project files properly (no chaos, no missing files)
- Stay updated on reel trends, transitions, and editing styles that are currently performing well
- Communicate proactively with the content and strategy team on shot requirements, missing footage, or creative gaps
What We're Looking For
- 3-5+ years of hands-on video editing experience, specifically in reels/short-form and podcast content
- Proven experience editing multi-camera podcast setups (angle switching, sync, pacing)
- Strong sense of storytelling, pacing, and hook-based editing for social media
- Proficiency in Premiere Pro / DaVinci Resolve (Adobe Premiere strongly preferred for this role); After Effects is a plus
- Sharp eye for detail — color consistency, audio levels, caption timing, and continuity
- Strong communication skills — able to explain creative choices, take feedback without friction, and flag issues proactively rather than waiting to be asked
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities without constant supervision
- A portfolio of podcast reels and event reels is mandatory
Good to Have
- Experience editing for coach/creator or personal brand content
- Familiarity with YouTube long-form + Shorts ecosystem
- Basic understanding of what drives retention and watch time on Instagram/YouTube
