Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional video editing experience; freshers with exceptional portfolio encouraged to apply.
• Expert command over Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro (FCP).
• Hands-on proficiency with Adobe After Effects for motion graphics, basic VFX, and kinetic typography.
• A strong grasp of news, pop culture, Bollywood and viral internet trends.
• Deep understanding of video aspect ratios, frame rates, audio mixing, color correction, and export rendering settings.

Responsibilities

• Cut, assemble, and polish entertainment & news features for digital platforms.
• Shape raw footage into fast-paced or mood-setting videos to maximize retention.
• Apply captions, typography, color correction, and audio leveling for broadcast quality.
• Adapt videos across YouTube long-form, YouTube Shorts, Reels, and other formats.
• Collaborate with reporters and digital producers to meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Entertainment & News Editing: Cut, assemble, and polish high-impact video packages, celebrity/entertainment features, and hard-hitting human interest stories for Mid-Day's digital platforms.
• Visual Storytelling & Pacing: Shape raw footage into narrative-driven, fast-paced, or mood-setting videos that maximize viewer retention and social engagement.
• Graphics & Finishing: Apply lower thirds, captions, typography, color correction/grading, and audio leveling to ensure broadcast/publish quality.
• Format Optimization: Adapt videos across multiple digital formats (YouTube long-form, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, site video player).
• Collaboration: Partner with reporters, scriptwriters, and digital producers to bring story concepts to life while meeting tight deadlines.

Key Requirements & Skills:

• Experience: Minimum 3+ years of professional video editing experience. (Freshers with an exceptional portfolio/show-reel and latest editing skills are highly encouraged to apply!)
• Software Mastery: Expert command over Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro (FCP).
