Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Pune is seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Engineer to join the Urban Drainage Modelling team. You will lead hydraulic modelling and sewerage/storm network projects, delivering robust designs and right-first-time results.

The role requires 5+ years in the water sector, strong GIS competence, and excellent English communication. You will mentor junior staff and contribute to graduate development within a supportive, hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Civil Engineering or Masters in Water Resource/Environmental Engineering from a recognized university.
• 5+ years of experience in the water and wastewater consultancy industry.
• Demonstrable experience in network design or hydraulic modelling.
• Proficiency in design or hydraulic modelling software (InfoWorks CS/2D/ICM, Windes, or Bentley suite).
• Knowledge of GIS tools (MapInfo, ArcGIS).
• Excellent report writing skills and fluency in English.

Your role

• Work as part of Atkins' Urban Drainage Modelling (UDM) team.
• Handle projects related to sewerage/storm network modelling, drainage infrastructure design, and planning.
• Ensure high standards and right-first-time delivery.
• Take ownership of personal and junior team members' work.
• Support technical development of graduates and technicians through knowledge sharing.

About you
