Launch Accounts Ltd is hiring a bookkeeping professional based in India to support UK clients. You will leverage expert Xero skills, handle VAT and multi-client work, and use Apron/Dext/Hubdoc for document processing and workflow efficiency.

This fully remote role requires independence, strong English, and the ability to manage several client deadlines while delivering accurate, up-to-date records for UK businesses.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years’ bookkeeping experience with UK businesses or a UK practice.
• Expert-level Xero knowledge including reconciliations, VAT, journals and reporting.
• Strong experience with Apron/Dext/Hubdoc workflows and processing.
• Excellent understanding of UK VAT rules and double-entry accounting.
• Experience managing multiple clients’ books simultaneously.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• High attention to detail, organisation and problem-solving.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping for a portfolio of UK businesses using Xero.
• Process, categorize and reconcile bank transactions, invoices and receipts.
• Publish purchases, receipts and expenses into Xero accurately.
• Perform bank, card, customer and supplier reconciliations.
• Prepare UK VAT returns per Making Tax Digital for review.
• Maintain ledgers and complete month-end checks.
• Identify and resolve missing transactions and errors.
• Liaise with UK colleagues and clients to resolve queries.

As our business grows, we’re looking for an experienced bookkeeper based in India to join our team and work directly with our UK colleagues.

The Role

We’re looking for someone with expert knowledge of Xero and Apron/Dext/Hubdoc, together with substantial experience managing bookkeeping for UK businesses..

You’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day bookkeeping of multiple UK clients, ensuring their records are accurate, reconciled and kept up to date.

This is a hands-on role requiring someone who can work independently, identify problems and take ownership of their workload.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping for a portfolio of UK businesses using Xero.

• Process, categorise and reconcile bank transactions, invoices, receipts and expenses.

• Use bookkeeping software to review, categorise and publish purchase invoices, receipts and expenses accurately into Xero.

• Complete bank, credit card, customer and supplier reconciliations.

• Prepare UK VAT returns in accordance with Making Tax Digital requirements for review.

• Maintain accurate ledgers and complete month-end bookkeeping checks.

• Identify missing transactions, discrepancies and bookkeeping errors, and resolve them proactively.

• Liaise with UK colleagues and, where required, clients to obtain information and resolve queries.

• Manage multiple client deadlines while maintaining consistently high standards.

Essential Requirements

• Minimum three years’ practical bookkeeping experience with UK businesses or a UK accountancy practice.

• Expert-level Xero knowledge, including bank reconciliations, VAT, journals, reporting and multi-client bookkeeping.

• Strong practical Apron/Dext/Hubdoc experience, including document processing, coding, publishing and reconciliation workflows.

• Excellent understanding of UK VAT rules, bookkeeping principles and double-entry accounting.

• Experience managing the bookkeeping of multiple clients simultaneously.

• Excellent written and spoken English.

• Exceptional attention to detail, organisation and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.

Desirable Experience

• Xero Advisor Certification.

• Experience using other accounting softwares.

• Experience preparing monthly management accounts.

• Experience with UK e-commerce businesses, payment gateways and Stripe or PayPal reconciliations.

• B.Com, M.Com, ACCA, CA Inter or equivalent accounting qualifications.

• Experience improving bookkeeping workflows through automation.
