Job summary

Opalus Investments Limited in Kochi, Kerala, is building OPAL, an AI-powered SaaS platform for SME finance and operations. We seek a senior UI/UX designer to shape enterprise workflows across accounting, CRM, HR, documents and AI-assisted experiences.

You’ll evolve the design system, produce end-to-end user flows, wireframes and prototypes, and collaborate with product and engineering to deliver accessible, localisation-ready interfaces for multi-language use.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of professional UI/UX or product design experience.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating complex SaaS, enterprise or workflow product design.
• Bachelor's degree in UI/UX Design, Interaction Design, HCI, Visual Communication, Graphic Design, or related field.
• Advanced proficiency in Figma, component libraries and design-system practice.
• Experience designing enterprise SaaS platforms with multi-module B2B products, role-based permissions, and complex workflows.

OPAL places accounting at the core and connects finance, customers, people, projects, documents and workflow in one secure operating environment. We are establishing our software development team and office in Kochi, Kerala.

Opalus Investments Limited is developing OPAL, an AI-powered SaaS business operating platform for small and medium-sized businesses. With accounting at its core, OPAL is designed to connect finance, banking, customers, people, recruitment, projects, documents, workflow and reporting in one secure operating environment. A permissioned AI layer is being designed across the connected business record to help users understand information, prepare work and take controlled action with appropriate approvals and audit trails.

The company has completed a high-fidelity working prototype and is building the production-grade platform for an initial Australian release. Opalus is now establishing a software development office and multidisciplinary product team in Kochi, Kerala, to help take OPAL through engineering, testing, release and ongoing product development.

Requirements

What you bring

• 5–10 years of professional UI/UX or product design experience.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating complex SaaS, enterprise or workflow product design.
• Bachelor's degree in UI/UX Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Visual Communication, Graphic Design, or a related field.
• Advanced proficiency in Figma, component libraries and design-system practice.
• Experience designing enterprise SaaS platforms with multi-module B2B products, role-based permissions, and complex workflows.
• Experience designing accounting and finance workflows, including general ledger, AP/AR, invoicing, payments, reconciliation, reporting, and financial dashboards.
• Experience designing reporting and analytics experiences, including dashboards, KPIs, data visualization, filters, and exports.
• Experience designing banking or FinTech products, including payments, transactions, reconciliation, and financial controls.
• Experience designing AI-assisted enterprise experiences with clear human review and control.
• Strong information architecture for data-rich applications, interaction design and visual communication skills.
• Experience conducting user research, usability testing and evidence-led iteration.
• Experience creating interactive prototypes for complex workflows and producing implementation-ready specifications for engineering handoff, including annotations, states, edge cases, and responsive behavior.
• Working knowledge of WCAG and localisation-ready design.
• Ability to communicate design rationale and collaborate with product managers, engineering, senior stakeholders, and finance or business users throughout discovery, delivery, design QA, and usability validation.

Location requirement

This position is based in Kochi, Kerala, India. Applicants must already be based in Kochi or be willing to relocate to Kochi.
