Job summary

Barclays is seeking a Senior Test Engineer-AVP based in Pune to design, develop, and execute testing strategies that validate functionality, performance, and user experience. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify and resolve defects and continuously improve testing processes.

You will lead automation efforts across API, UI, and end-to-end testing, driving quality engineering practices, and integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines within an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining test automation frameworks for API, UI, and end-to-end testing.
• Extensive experience with Java, Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber, Karate, and modern test automation tools.
• Strong programming skills in Core Java with a focus on automation framework development and test engineering best practices.
• Proven expertise in API testing, Web Services, REST APIs, and automation of service-based architectures.
• Experience testing enterprise-scale web-based applications across functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing cycles.
• Strong understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, test strategies, planning, defect management, and quality assurance processes.
