• Prepare and review test strategies, plans and execution reports; manage test data and environments.
• Mentor junior testers on cards domain, switch validations and complex transaction testing scenarios.

Senior Test Engineer - Cards Testing (4 to 6 Years Experience)- Immediate Joiners

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Test Engineer with strong expertise in the Cards & Payments domain to join our growing testing team. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in Card Management Systems, Payment Switches, ISO 8583 messaging, and test environment management, along with the ability to lead testing activities and coordinate with client and offshore teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Cards Domain Expertise

• Demonstrate strong knowledge of Credit & Debit Card lifecycle management including card issuance, authorization, clearing, settlement, disputes, and loyalty programs.
• Hands-on experience with Visa and Mastercard scheme rules, compliance standards, and regional payment regulations, preferably in the Middle East market.
• Validate multi-currency transaction flows, card controls, limits management, and rewards/loyalty processing.

Core Systems & Technical Testing

• Perform end-to-end testing across VisionPLUS modules including:
• CMS (Card Management System)
• TRAMS
• VMx
• Validate integrations involving IST Switch, ATM Switches, POS Networks, and Host Systems.
• Analyze and validate ISO 8583 message formats, transaction routing, authorization responses, and settlement files.
• Support defect analysis and root cause identification across integrated payment ecosystems.

Simulators & Environment Management

• Configure and execute testing using:
• OTS
• ATM Simulators
• POS Simulators
• Host Simulators
• Ensure test environment readiness, simulator stability, and test data availability throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate environment support for SIT, UAT, Regression, and Production Verification phases.
• Prepare and review test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, and execution reports.
• Lead test execution activities and ensure adherence to quality standards and timelines.
• Conduct defect triage meetings with developers, business analysts, and client stakeholders.
• Perform effort estimation, risk assessment, and mitigation planning.
• Mentor junior testers on cards domain, switch validations, and complex transaction testing scenarios.

Operational & Governance Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with organizational quality standards, governance processes, and delivery commitments.
• Manage work allocation, sprint planning, progress tracking, and resource utilization.
• Maintain project repositories for test artifacts, defect logs, execution evidence, sign-offs, and change requests.
• Adhere to data privacy, information security, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Provide daily, weekly, and monthly status reports to Test Managers and project stakeholders.

Required Skills:

• 4 to 6 years of experience in Cards & Payments Testing
• Strong knowledge of Credit/Debit Card processing and payment ecosystems
• Experience with VisionPLUS (CMS, FAS, TRAMS, VMx)
• Expertise in ISO 8583 message validation and switch testing
• Experience with VTS, OTS, ATM/POS/Host Simulators
• Defect Management and Test Management tools (JIRA, ALM, etc.)
• Excellent stakeholder communication and coordination skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Skills:

• Visa and Mastercard certification/testing exposure
• Agile and Scrum delivery experience
• Knowledge of ATM, POS, E-commerce, and Switch integration testing
