Deservely Technologies in Hyderabad is seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer to own automation strategy for a large-scale commerce/payments ecosystem spanning mobile apps, web dashboards, and POS hardware. You will architect resilient frameworks and contribute hands-on daily, raising automation across squads.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years in QA / test automation with 3+ years in senior/lead capacity.
• Strong programming in Python and/or TypeScript/JavaScript with solid testing fundamentals.
• Hands-on with Playwright and/or Cypress (web), Appium (mobile), Selenium.
• API and contract testing (Postman, REST Assured, Pact / GraphQL).
• Proven CI/CD engineering with Buildkite / Jenkins / GitHub Actions, Git, Docker, parallelization, flaky-test stabilization.
• Test management with TestRail and Jira/Linear.
• Record of architecting frameworks from scratch, reducing flakiness, expanding coverage.

About The Role

We're looking for a Senior Test Automation Engineer to own automation strategy and delivery for a large-scale, multi-platform commerce and payments ecosystem spanning mobile apps, web dashboards, and custom point-of-sale (POS) hardware. This role goes well beyond writing scripts: you will architect resilient frameworks, embed quality into fast biweekly release trains (Master / Convergence / Release builds), and apply AI and LLM-based tooling to generate, self-heal, and triage tests at scale. You'll work hands‑on daily while raising the automation bar across squads.

What You'll Do

• Architect frameworks: Design, build, and maintain scalable UI, API, and end-to-end automation across web, iOS, Android, and hardware/POS devices.
• Own the pipeline: Author and stabilize suites in CI/CD (Buildkite / Jenkins / GitHub Actions), manage sharding, parallel execution, and pipeline reliability to cut feedback time from hours to minutes.
• Kill flakiness: Investigate failures, refactor toward page objects, and implement self-healing and AI-assisted auto‑triage to reduce maintenance load.
• Apply AI to testing: Use LLM tooling (e.g., Claude, Copilot, Cursor) to accelerate test authoring, generate edge‑case/negative scenarios, produce synthetic test data, and convert manual test cases into automated flows.
• Drive coverage: Own regression, smoke, convergence, compatibility, and production‑verification testing across a continuous release cadence.
• Shift left & lead: Partner with developers, DevOps, and product to define test strategy, standards, and coverage metrics, mentor mid‑level QA engineers.

Must-Have Qualifications

• 7–10 years in QA / test automation, including 3+ years in a senior or lead capacity.
• Strong programming in Python and/or TypeScript/JavaScript (Java a plus) with solid testing fundamentals.
• Deep hands‑on experience with modern frameworks - Playwright and/or Cypress (web), Appium (mobile), Selenium.
• API and contract testing (Postman, REST Assured, Pact / GraphQL).
• Proven CI/CD engineering - Buildkite / Jenkins / GitHub Actions, Git, Docker, parallelization and flaky‑test stabilization.
• Test management and defect tracking with TestRail and Jira / Linear.
• Demonstrated track record architecting frameworks from scratch, reducing flakiness, and scaling coverage across platforms.

AI‑Side Expectations (Key Differentiator)

• Hands‑on with AI‑assisted testing: LLM‑driven test generation, self‑healing selectors, and AI triage/investigation agents.
• Practical prompt & context engineering - decomposition patterns and supplying architecture/context so AI output is production‑grade, not a "flawed intern".

Nice to Have

• Cross‑platform testing on custom hardware / embedded POS devices, device farms (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).
• Fintech, payments, or retail/restaurant POS domain experience, high‑frequency release‑train environments.
