Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a BIM Modeler in India to provide drafting and modeling support for Public Health and Fire fighting services. Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit is required. BE with 7+ years or ITI/Diploma with 10 years experience in BIM oversight is expected. HVAC modelling knowledge is a bonus across BIM disciplines.

You will detail, model, clash-check, and convert models to CAD/DWF/PDF while meeting project deadlines in a collaborative, hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in BIM Modeler role with AutoCAD and Revit.
• 7+ years BIM execution oversight for BE candidates; 10 years for ITI/Diploma route.
• Proficient in Autodesk software (AutoCAD & Revit).
• HVAC services modelling knowledge is an added advantage.
• Experience across BIM disciplines and clash analysis preferred.

Responsibilities

• Detailed modeling for PHE, Fire Protection, HVAC services with sections, 3D views, and detailing.
• Create and edit MEP Revit families with parameters.
• Space planning for PHE and Fire Protection equipment.
• Perform clash analysis across services and resolve clashes.
• Convert Revit models to CAD, DWF, and PDF formats.
• Generate sections, schedules, and schematics from models.
• Size HVAC ducts and pipes and plan routing.
• Provide CAD/BIM drafting and design support.
• Receive work assignments from project managers and meet deadlines.
• Maintain time-entry descriptions weekly and learn new design tools.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to meet deadlines.

Your impact

Jacobs is seeking a BIM Modeler, who will provide drafting and modeling support for Public Health and Fire fighting service. This position requires proficiency in Autodesk software, specifically AutoCAD and Revit. Candidates with BE must have a minimum of 7 years+ experience providing BIM execution oversight, model management, model QC and VDC support. Knowledge of HVAC service modelling will be an added advantage. Candidate with ITI or Diploma shall have minimum of 10 years of experience with skills as below.

Daily Duties/Tasks

• Detailed modeling for PHE, Fire Protection, HVAC Services with Sections, 3D views, enlarged views, Annotation, and Detailing Quantity schedules, templates, Title sheet setting etc.
• Creating & editing the MEP Revit Families with Parameters.
• Space Planning of PHE and Fire Protection Equipment's.
• Should possess experience working in various BIM Discipline.
• Performing Clash Analysis within services, for all other services & solving the clashes if any.
• Conversion of Revit models to other formats such as CAD, DWF & PDF.
• Generating Sections/Schedules/Schematics in models.
• Sizing of HVAC ducts and Pipe along with routing.
• Provide CAD drafting/BIM modeling and design support
• Obtain work assignments of either specific design elements or CAD drafting from project managers.
• Use checklists set-up for quality control on each project and submit work according to deadlines.
• Provide an accurate accounting of time spent on projects with descriptions for each time entry on a weekly basis
• Demonstrate proactive approach to learning of new digital design tools.
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team to meet deadlines.
