Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a BIM Modeler to provide drafting and modeling support for Public Health and Fire fighting services in a BIM-enabled environment. The role requires proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit, with 7+ years of BIM execution oversight or 10 years for ITI/Diploma path.

Responsibilities include detailed 3D modeling, families, space planning, clash analysis, format conversions, and timely project delivery across various BIM disciplines.

Qualifications

• BE with 7+ years BIM experience or ITI/Diploma with 10 years BIM experience.
• Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit; BIM execution oversight, model management and QC.
• Experience in Hospitality, Healthcare, Aviation or Rail sectors is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Detailed modeling for PHE, Fire Protection, HVAC Services with sections and 3D views.
• Create & edit MEP Revit Families with Parameters.
• Space planning of PHE and Fire Protection equipment.
• Perform clash analysis within services and resolve clashes.
• Convert Revit models to CAD, DWF, and PDF formats.
• Generate sections, schedules, and schematics in models.
• Provide CAD drafting and BIM modeling support.
• Manage time entries and meet project deadlines.

Your impact

Jacobs is seeking a BIM Modeler, who will provide drafting and modeling support for Public Health and Fire fighting service. This position requires proficiency in Autodesk software, specifically AutoCAD and Revit. Candidates with BE must have a minimum of 7 years+ experience providing BIM execution oversight, model management, model QC and VDC support. Knowledge of HVAC service modelling will be an added advantage. Candidate with ITI or Diploma shall have minimum of 10 years of experience with skills as below.

Daily Duties/Tasks

• Detailed modeling for PHE, Fire Protection, HVAC Services with Sections, 3D views, enlarged views, Annotation, and Detailing Quantity schedules, templates, Title sheet setting etc.
• Creating & editing the MEP Revit Families with Parameters.
• Space Planning of PHE and Fire Protection Equipment's.
• Should possess experience working in various BIM Discipline.
• Performing Clash Analysis within services, for all other services & solving the clashes if any.
• Conversion of Revit models to other formats such as CAD, DWF & PDF.
• Generating Sections/Schedules/Schematics in models.
• Sizing of HVAC ducts and Pipe along with routing.
• Provide CAD drafting/BIM modeling and design support
• Obtain work assignments of either specific design elements or CAD drafting from project managers.
• Use checklists set-up for quality control on each project and submit work according to deadlines.
• Provide an accurate accounting of time spent on projects with descriptions for each time entry on a weekly basis
• Demonstrate proactive approach to learning of new digital design tools.
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team to meet deadlines.
