Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced Senior Designer-Fire Protection-Revit to join our Design Engineering team in India. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on Revit expertise for fire protection design projects and a solid understanding of engineering fundamentals, deliverables, and industry standards.

You will contribute to 3D modeling, drawing generation, inter-discipline coordination, and support during design reviews and clash resolution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 10–15 years in design consulting/engineering consultancy.
• Proven hands-on experience with fire design projects using Revit.

Responsibilities

• Lead fire protection design and detailing in Revit for pharma/Life Science facilities.
• Coordinate with multi-discipline teams and support design reviews and clash resolution.
• Prepare MTO/BOQ and assist technical bid evaluation.

Your impact

We are looking for an experienced Senior Designer-Fire Protection-Revit to join our Design Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Revit for fire protection design projects and a solid understanding of engineering fundamentals, deliverables, and industry standards. This role involves 3D modeling, drawing generation, inter-discipline coordination, and support during design reviews and clash resolution.

Key Responsibilities

• Experience on design of pharmaceutical / Life Science /Biotech facility / Speciality Chemical in terms of Fire design.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical / Life Science /Biotech facility inter discipline requirements.
• Knowledge of engineering codes and standards
• Knowledge of ASME BPE
• Fire Protection, HVAC, Piping detailed design of ductwork for Cleanrooms and Laboratories involving HVAC equipment modelling of Air Handling Units, Exhaust fans, pressure control devices, reheat coils, balancing dampers, fire dampers etc
• Knowledge of PIDs / AFD including ability to review and markup.
• REVIT modelling based on the instructions from the lead engineer or based on the markups
• MTO/BOQ Preparation
• Technical Bid Evaluation
• Construction engineering deliverables
• Good experience of 3D modelling tools

Here’s what you’ll need

• Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (BE) – Mechanical or relevant discipline
• 10-15 years of experience in Design Consulting / Engineering Consultancy environment
• Proven hands-on experience working on fire design projects using Revit
