We are seeking a Senior Technical Specialist to join our Professional Services team supporting the implementation, configuration, and business analysis of our ConceptOne™ platform and advanced Identity & Access Management solutions. This role is ideal for a technically strong professional with expertise in SQL development, system configuration, business requirements gathering, and analysis. You will possess deep insurance domain knowledge and the ability to work directly with project teams to deliver scalable, compliant software configurations and data-driven solutions.

In this role, you will design and develop custom forms, reports, and database logic that support complex insurance workflows. You will conduct business requirements analysis, perform system configuration and customization, and implement advanced configurations. You will work closely with Business Analysts, Solution Architects, project managers, and client stakeholders to translate functional requirements into comprehensive technical solutions.

• Business Requirements Gathering & Analysis
• Facilitate and elicit customer business requirements through workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions.
• Analyze and document functional and non-functional requirements for complex insurance implementations.
• Develop comprehensive documentation including business rules, use cases, and process flows.
• Translate business needs into technical specifications and system design recommendations.
• System Configuration and Customization
• Participate in technical solution design and configuration for the ConceptOne™ platform.
• Implement configurations and customizations to support identity and access management requirements.
• Perform system configuration and customization based on detailed design documentation and insurance industry best practices.
• Implement relevant aspects of customer requirements through system configuration and advanced customization.
• SQL Development and Database Management
• Develop SQL stored procedures, functions, and queries supporting system configuration, integrations, and business logic.
• Design and implement data sources used for merge documents, form generation, and reporting.
• Manage and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases using SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
• Optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing strategies, and efficient data retrieval.
• Support migration and conversion of database systems and SQL dialects.
• Forms, Reports, and Document Generation
• Design and develop interactive forms and data-driven document generation solutions.
• Ensure forms support efficient data capture, validation, and document production.
• Build custom reports and data extracts using Appeon Infomaker, Qlik, SSRS, or similar reporting tools.
• Technical Subject Matter Expert & Implementation Support
• Serve as a technical and business domain subject matter expert across assigned implementation projects.
• Develop custom integrations with various external applications using API/SDK solutions.
• Identify risks or technical challenges early and propose solutions to project leadership.
• Work closely with project managers, business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to deliver client solutions.
• Quality Assurance & Testing
• Develop and execute unit tests supporting system configuration and development work.
• Support system testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) during project delivery.
• Review and approve Quality Analyst test cases and test plans against customer requirements.
• Documentation & Knowledge Management
• Document technical designs, configuration decisions, business requirements, and development standards.
• Maintain current knowledge of industry developments, best practices, and platform enhancements.
• Facilitate end-user training sessions to ensure smooth transition and adoption of implemented solutions.

What do you need to succeed in this role?

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related technical field.
• 7+ years of experience in software implementation, database development, business analysis, or technical consulting.
• Strong experience with insurance policy administration systems, with demonstrated expertise in the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance domain.
• Experience with enterprise policy administration platforms such as ConceptOne or similar systems.
• Strong SQL development experience including stored procedures, functions, query optimization, and data transformations.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
• Demonstrated ability to work with relational database systems and complex data models.
• Experience with reporting or forms technologies such as Appeon Infomaker, Qlik, SSRS, or similar tools.
• Experience with configuration and customization.
• Proficiency in business requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience supporting data integrations or API-based systems.
• Experience with XML data structures or document generation systems.
• Experience converting SQL dialects or supporting database migrations.
• AINS Certifications or other insurance industry certifications.
• CBAP (Certified Business Analyst Professional) or similar business analysis certification.
• Web Services/APIs and ACORD standards experience.
