Job summary

Insurity is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our global development team. You will own development items from design through implementation for the Insurity Bridge Suite, collaborating with U.S. and India teams to deliver enterprise insurance solutions.

Required are strong ASP.NET Forms, C# .NET Framework, JavaScript/jQuery, SOAP/REST, and robust SQL Server experience. You may lead a small team and contribute to unit tests, documentation, and design sessions.

Qualifications

• 6-10 years of experience in ASP.NET Forms / ASP.NET and C# .NET Framework application development.
• Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript and jQuery for UI/client-side development.
• Familiarity with SOAP services, REST-based APIs, and integration development is required.
• Proficiency with SQL Server, including complex queries and performance-oriented development.
• Experience with multi-page web applications and enterprise product development.

Responsibilities

• Participate in SDLC estimation and development processes.
• Design solutions independently and participate in team design sessions.
• Follow coding standards and develop documentation and troubleshooting.
• Develop solutions for moderately complex problems, possibly leading a small team.
• Write unit tests and contribute to QA test case development.
• Comment code and produce impact assessments; stay updated on trends.

Insurity's Next Senior Software Engineer

Join our global development team as a .NET Developer supporting the Insurity Bridge Suite, an end-to-end core system for specialty line insurers across policy administration, billing, and claims management. In this role, you will take ownership of development items from technical design through implementation, while ensuring quality, performance, maintainability, and supportability. You will collaborate closely with U.S. and India-based teammates to build and enhance enterprise solutions that support product configuration, integrations, data maintenance, and customer-facing workflows across the Bridge platform.

We are seeking an experienced professional with strong hands-on expertise in ASP.NET Forms / ASP.NET, C# .NET Framework, JavaScript, and jQuery, along with solid experience in enterprise application development. The ideal candidate will have deep proficiency with SQL Server, including complex SQL queries, stored procedures, data maintenance, and performance-oriented database development. You should be comfortable working with SOAP services, REST-based APIs, supporting multi-page web applications in a product engineering environment.

What Our Senior Software Engineer Will Do

• Participate in SDLC estimation and development processes.

Design

• Design solutions to problems/defects independently
• Participate in team design sessions for large-scale development

Able to understand and develop use cases to supplement business cases for technical development items.

Development

• Follows Insurity standards for coding, documentation and impact assessments
• Provides in-depth technical troubleshooting and defect remediation for reported problems requiring a high degree of technical expertise
• Develop technical documentation for software solutions for targeted audience, which may include external customers

Develop solutions for moderately complex problems and enhancements individually or leading a small team.

• Estimate projects and solutions of simple to moderate complexity.

Test

• Write code and unit tests according to Insurity standards, following an approved technical solution, for simple enhancements and bug fixes.
• Develop unit tests for code changes and assigned use cases.

After 18 Months

• Partner with QA to identify impact and assist with test case development.

Documentation

• Able to comment code.
• Create an impact assessment doc.
• Stay up-to-date on industry and job-related trends and best practices, including reading relevant publications, articles, blogs, etc.
• Other duties as assigned.

Who We're Looking For
