Job summary

Persistent Systems is seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager with deep expertise in Data & Analytics, cloud data platforms, and large-scale data transformations. You will lead end-to-end delivery across Databricks, Azure services, data migration, and modernization initiatives.

You will drive Agile/Scrum processes, coordinate cross-functional teams, manage budgets, and report governance. The role demands strong leadership and stakeholder management in a dynamic, hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• 15-20 years of overall IT experience with significant Data & Analytics programs.
• Proven Databricks and Microsoft Azure data platform project delivery.
• Strong understanding of Data Warehousing, Data Lakes, ETL/ELT, Data Migration.
• Experience leading large-scale cloud transformation and modernization.
• Manage geographically distributed, cross-functional teams.
• Expert in Agile, Scrum, Waterfall and Hybrid delivery.
• Hands-on Jira usage for planning, tracking, reporting.
• Knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake Storage and cloud-native data solutions.
• Experience with executive stakeholders and client-facing engagements.
• Leadership, negotiation, decision-making, risk and governance.
• Knowledge of Data Engineering, Data Architecture, modern Analytics platforms.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and complex delivery.
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management.
• Experience with budgeting, resource planning, and forecasting.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Project Manager with strong expertise in Data & Analytics programs, cloud data platforms, and large-scale data transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing Databricks and Azure-based projects, including data migration, data warehouse modernization, data lake implementations, and ETL/ELT development programs.

What You'll Do:

• Lead end-to-end delivery of Data & Analytics projects while ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Manage large-scale cloud-based data platform initiatives involving Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage, and related Azure services.
• Drive project planning, execution, monitoring, governance, and successful delivery across multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Lead Agile/Scrum delivery processes and manage project execution using Jira and other project management tools.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including Data Engineers, Solution Architects, Developers, QA teams, DevOps engineers, and business stakeholders.
• Oversee data migration, ETL/ELT pipeline development, data warehouse modernization, and data lake implementation programs.
• Identify project risks, dependencies, and issues, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
• Facilitate stakeholder communication, project reviews, status reporting, and executive governance meetings.
• Ensure compliance with project management methodologies, organizational standards, and best practices.
• Drive resource planning, capacity management, budgeting, and project forecasting activities.
• Monitor project KPIs and delivery metrics to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Collaborate with leadership teams to define project roadmaps, priorities, and strategic objectives.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and promote delivery excellence across Data & Analytics programs.

Expertise You'll Bring:
