Job summary

UnitedHealth Group's Optum unit is hiring a Product Manager for US Healthcare IT to shape the product strategy and roadmap. Based in Bengaluru, you will own the portfolio backlog and work with engineering, UX, and cross‑functional teams to translate business needs into system requirements.

You will collaborate with analytics and ecosystem partners to deliver value, drive release planning, and ensure alignment with business MBOs.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree or equivalent experience.

• Experience in US payer and provider space.
• Experience gathering requirements and maintaining backlog/roadmap.
• Familiar with Aha, Rally and related tools.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Product Manager for US Healthcare IT product or portfolio of products
• Define and drive product strategy & Roadmap for product(s)
• Owner of portfolio backlog and roadmap execution
• Defines Capabilities and Features to translate business requirements into
• Technical requirements
• oExecutes detailed system & data analysis
• oLeads Release Planning in partnership with ecosystem partners
• oClearly articulate product vision, strategy and roadmap to engineering team effectively as and when needed
• oCollaborate with UX & engineering team to drive product design
• oConsistent value delivery based on business MBOs
• oDrive system demo to stakeholders and customers
• oBuild & drive culture of innovation in the portfolio
• oAble to collaborate with various teams (business, engineering, product, ops) to drive common objective and help achieving outcomes

Required Qualification:

• Graduate degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of product management experience
• Good experience in US payer and provider space
• Expertise in applying data-driven knowledge and best practices to improve product
• Expertise in gathering requirements from the business, documenting and maintaining product backlog/roadmap
• Expertise in process improvement, workflow, benchmarking and / or evaluation of business processes
• Understanding and ability to conduct meaningful conversation with technology team on various existing and emerging technologies and overall solution space
• Working knowledge of various tools such as Aha, Rally etc.
