Job summary

HCLTech in Pune, India is seeking an experienced Data Migration Lead to plan, execute, and validate data migration from legacy systems to TcX. You will coordinate with Business, IT, Siemens, and suppliers to build execution plans, timelines, and risk mitigation strategies.

The role includes guiding developers, conducting code reviews, ensuring QA, and leading transformation rules and data quality across migration phases, while collaborating with stakeholders to deliver complex projects on time.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of experience in data migration projects.
• Experience with ETL and migration from legacy applications to TcX.
• Knowledge of coordinating with business, IT, Siemens and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and validate data migration from legacy to TcX.

• Provide API identification and documentation for data extraction by Siemens and others.
• Support data extraction, cleansing, enrichment and data import throughout migration lifecycle.

• Lead historical data migration activities with suppliers before decommissioning legacy apps.
• Analyze legacy systems and TcX data models to ensure smooth migration.
• Define data transformation rules and ensure data standardization and harmonization.
• Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and integrity across migration phases.

• Roles and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for planning, execution, and validation of data migration from legacy applications to TcX.
• Coordinate with Business, IT, Siemens, and other suppliers to develop the execution plan, roadmap, timelines, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Provide support for API identification and documentation to enable data extraction by Siemens and other suppliers.
• Support data extraction, cleansing, enrichment, and data import activities throughout the migration lifecycle.
• Define the overall data migration strategy, including validation and quality assurance approaches.
• Lead historical data migration activities prior to the decommissioning (sundowning) of legacy applications, in collaboration with suppliers.
• Analyze legacy systems and TcX in terms of data models, formats, and dependencies to ensure smooth migration.
• Support the definition of data transformation rules (formats, units, codes, structures) and ensure data standardization and harmonization.
• Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and integrity across all migration phases.

Key Responsibilities

• 1. To be responsible for providing technical guidance to a team of developers, enhancing their technical capabilities and increasing productivity.
• 2. To conduct comprehensive code reviews, establish and oversee quality assurance processes, performance optimization , implementation of best practices and coding standards to ensure successful delivery of complex projects.
• 3. To ensure process compliance in the assigned module| and participate in technical discussions/review as a technical consultant for feasibility study (technical alternatives, best packages, supporting architecture best practices, technical risks, breakdown into components, estimations).
• 4. To collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, deliverables and accordingly prepare and submit status reports for minimizing exposure & closure of escalations.
