Job summary

NOVAC in Chennai is seeking a Senior Technical Engineer- Cloud with 3-5 years of experience to design and implement cloud architectures for development, testing, UAT and production across AWS, Azure, and GCP. You will manage Linux/Windows servers, automate deployments, and own incident handling for production environments.

The role requires Kubernetes administration, Terraform scripting, Azure automation, and hands-on work with monitoring tools like Grafana and Prometheus to optimize

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of cloud engineering experience.
• Proficient in AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Experience in Kubernetes administration including AKS.
• Strong automation and scripting skills (PowerShell or similar).
• Experience with CI/CD and infrastructure as code (Terraform).
• Experience with monitoring, incident management and log analysis.
• Linux and Windows system administration.

Responsibilities

• Design cloud architectures forDev/Tests/UAT/Prod deployments on public clouds.
• Maintain cloud infrastructure and shared services on AWS, Azure, GCP.
• Own production environments, including upgrades, releases and incident handling.
• Troubleshoot cloud infra, shared services, networks and application stacks.
• Set up on-call duty for availability and performance of cloud infra.
• Automate processes and provisioning (CI/CD, IaC).
• Provision EC2-equivalents, VMs, load balancers, VPCs, firewalls, storage.
• Implement monitoring with Grafana and Prometheus; read logs and derive metrics.
• Create Terraform and PowerShell scripts; optimize data services (Synapse, Databricks, ADF).
• Schedule Azure VM, Synapse, SQL Pool using Azure Automation.

Senior Technical Engineer- Cloud This position is for candidate with 3-5 years experience

• Design best practice-based architecture for Development, Test, UAT and Production environment deployments on cloud.
• Maintain cloud infrastructure and shared services on Public Clouds AWS, Azure, GCP
• Good understanding of design of native Cloud applications, Cloud application design patterns and practices
• System administration (Linux/Windows), including configuration, troubleshooting and automation
• Ownership of production environments, including upgrade and release processes and incident handling
• Responsible for troubleshooting cloud infrastructure, shared services, network, and application stacks
• Perform on-call duty for maintaining the availability and performance of cloud infrastructure License Management
• Strong automation skills (tool agnostic) and the ability to drive initiatives to automate processes
• Hands on expertise in provisioning EC2 instances, Load balancing, Route 53, Linux, Windows server, IIS, setting up firewall rules, EBS, VPC, farms
• Propose suggestions and best practices to optimize customers cloud presence, performance, security, and cost
• Kubernetes administration experience, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
• Setting up the HPA and VPA for AKS.
• Implement Continuous Integration, Delivery, and Deployment using different CI/CD tools
• Integration of Monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus to read the logs and extract the metrics.
• Responsible for creating terraform and PowerShell scripts and Performance improvisation of data points and Service like Synapse, Databricks, Azure Data Factory.
• Scheduling Azure VM, Synapse, SQL Pool Start Stop using Azure Automation Account.
• Creation of alerts and Diagnostic Setting via Scripts for every resources for continuous monitoring.
