Volkswagen Group Digital Solutions [India] seeks an experienced Senior Data Migration Consultant to lead SAP S/4HANA data migration workstreams, including migration Cockpit, LTMC, and LSMW implementations. You will drive data mapping, cleansing, cutover planning, and validation across FI/CO, MM, SD, and WM/EWM.

The role requires 8+ years SAP experience with 4+ years in data migration, strong stakeholder management, and the ability to lead end-to-end migration efforts in complex SAP projects.

Qualifications

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Migration Consultant to lead end-to-end data migration workstreams for SAP S/4HANA implementation and conversion projects. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands‑on expertise in SAP migration tools, data mapping, and cutover planning, with prior experience in SAP EWM data migration considered a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute data migration strategy, planning, and design for SAP S/4HANA (Greenfield, Brownfield, and Selective Data Transition scenarios)
• Own end-to-end data migration lifecycle: object identification, field mapping, staging, transformation, validation, and cutover
• Work extensively with Migrate Your Data (Fiori app) — including Direct Transfer, Staging Tables (S/4HANA 2025), and Migration Cockpit / LTMC/LTMOM as applicable
• Define and maintain data mapping specifications across master and transactional data objects (Finance, MM, SD, WM/EWM, PP, etc.)
• Conduct data profiling, cleansing, and reconciliation activities in coordination with functional and business teams
• Design and execute mock loads, dry runs, and cutover rehearsals to validate migration readiness
• Collaborate with functional consultants to resolve data-related configuration dependencies (e.g., SPRO settings, BC Sets)
• Prepare and maintain migration documentation: functional specs, mapping sheets, cutover plans, and error-handling logs
• Coordinate with technical/ABAP teams for custom load programs, LSMW, BAPI/IDoc-based interfaces where standard tools are insufficient
• Support data migration for SAP EWM objects (e.g., storage bins, HU management, warehouse master data) where applicable
• Liaise with business stakeholders to obtain sign-offs on data quality and migration acceptance criteria
• Identify risks and issues in the migration process and drive timely resolution

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of overall SAP experience, with 4+ years focused specifically on data migration for S/4HANA
• Strong hands‑on expertise in SAP Migration Cockpit / Migrate Your Data app, LTMC and LSMW.
• Solid understanding of S/4HANA data structures across core modules (FI/CO, MM, SD; WM/EWM preferred)
• Experience with at least one full‑cycle S/4HANA implementation or conversion project
• Strong data mapping, transformation logic, and reconciliation skills
• Working knowledge of SAP configuration migration approaches (transport‑based, BC Sets) is a plus
• Excellent stakeholder management and client communication skills
• Ability to work independently and lead migration workstreams with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience with SAP EWM data migration (warehouse master data, storage bin structures, HU‑managed data)
• Exposure to SAP Integration Suite/CPI for migration‑related interfaces
