Job summary

Synoptek, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, seeks a Senior Technical Consultant to design, develop, customize, and support Microsoft Dynamics AX and Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management solutions aligned with business needs.

You will work with functional consultants, architects, project managers, technical teams, and client stakeholders to deliver scalable ERP solutions, mentor junior developers, and ensure documentation, testing, deployment, and quality assurance across ERP environments.

Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009/2012 and Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management.
• ERP implementation support, integrations, and data migration preferred.
• Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.

The Senior Technical Consultant - Dynamics AX is responsible for designing, developing, customizing, and supporting Microsoft Dynamics AX and Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management solutions aligned with business and operational requirements. This role collaborates closely with functional consultants, architects, project managers, technical teams, and client stakeholders to deliver scalable ERP solutions that support enterprise business operations and digital transformation initiatives. The position provides technical leadership across ERP implementation, upgrade, customization, integration, reporting, testing, deployment, support, mentorship, and secure Dynamics AX/D365 solution delivery.

Role

• Design, develop, customize, maintain, and enhance Microsoft Dynamics AX and Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management solutions based on business and technical requirements.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, functional consultants, architects, and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable ERP solutions.
• Develop and maintain Dynamics AX/D365 customizations, workflows, forms, classes, tables, reports, integrations, and technical components where applicable.
• Support ERP implementation, upgrade, customization, performance optimization, and technical support activities across Dynamics AX and D365 environments.
• Participate in technical design discussions, solution development, architecture reviews, and requirement refinement activities.
• Support integration activities using APIs, middleware solutions, batch processes, and third‑party applications where applicable.
• Develop and support SSRS reports, Power BI integrations, data migration activities, and reporting solutions associated with Dynamics AX/D365 environments.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application‑related issues, defects, and performance concerns across ERP platforms.
• Support testing, validation, deployment, release management, and quality assurance activities to ensure solution reliability and functionality.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards, development methodologies, and ERP best practices.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance across project deliverables and development activities.
• Maintain technical documentation including technical specifications, process documentation, configuration details, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, offshore delivery teams, technical teams, and client teams to support successful project execution.
• Support Agile development activities including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and project delivery coordination.
• Maintain awareness of Dynamics AX/D365 updates, ERP platform enhancements, Azure technologies, Power Platform capabilities, and industry best practices.

Job-related Experience

• Experience in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009/2012, Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management development, ERP application support, enterprise application development, or technical consulting environments is required.
• Experience supporting ERP implementations, integrations, reporting solutions, workflow automation, data migration, and client‑facing project delivery is preferred.
