Job summary

Citigroup seeks a technical leader to drive large-scale, globally distributed software solutions for CitiBank Commercial Cards. You will guide architecture, oversee microservices, and ensure high availability and security.

You will mentor teams across LATAM, EMEA, ASPAC time zones, collaborate with stakeholders, and champion Agile practices. Strong Java/Spring, web UI, and data skills are essential.

Application / Team Overview:

Citibank® Commercial Cards offers card-based payment solutions to large corporations and federal and state governments for the procurement of goods and services as well as travel, entertainment, and fleet related expenses. Commercial Cards' strategic objective is to compete and differentiate on the basis of global capability and customized solutions for high-value customers.

Technical / Functional Proficiency:

• Responsible for providing technical leadership of multiple large scale/complex global software solutions
• Strong understanding of object oriented analysis and design, design patterns, high availability and concurrent programming
• Strong understanding on Agile projects and Agile ceremonies.
• Demonstrated excellent software development skills. Strong experiences in implementation of the following technologies: Java, J2EE, Spring framework, AI Tools usage, Angular, React.
• Experience in building enterprise transaction-based system with focus on recovery, stability, reliability, scalability and performance.
• Deep understanding of and extensive experience in developing microservices/APIs using Spring Boot
• Solid understanding and experience of integrating Web Services
• Strong experience in JPA
• Should have knowledge on Containerization
• Experience in using the tools for service registry and service discovery (like Eureka, API-Gateway etc)

Responsibilities:

Utilize knowledge of applications development procedures and concepts, and basic knowledge of other technical areas to identify and define necessary system enhancements, including using script tools and analyzing/interpreting code

Consult with users, clients, and other technology groups on issues, and recommend programming solutions, install, and support customer exposure systems

Apply fundamental knowledge of programming languages for design specifications.

Analyze applications to identify vulnerabilities and security issues, as well as conduct testing and debugging

Serve as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts

Identify problems, analyze information, and make evaluative judgements to recommend and implement solutions

Resolve issues by identifying and selecting solutions through the applications of acquired technical experience and guided by precedents

Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.

Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.

Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.

Education:

Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
