PayMate in Mumbai is seeking a Senior Technical Architect to design scalable microservices and API gateway strategies for fintech platforms, ensuring security, compliance, and high performance. You will lead architecture decisions, mentor engineers, and collaborate with security and compliance teams to meet PCI-DSS and data privacy standards, while enabling robust CI/CD and cloud adoption in Azure.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software industry with 5+ years as Technical Architect (fintech preferred).

Objective

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Technical Architect with substantial experience in API gateways and microservices to join our fintech team. In this role, you will be pivotal in designing and implementing advanced architectural solutions that drive the next generation of financial services. Your expertise will help ensure our systems are scalable, secure, and capable of meeting stringent regulatory and performance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and oversee the implementation of a scalable microservices architecture tailored to the fintech domain, ensuring robustness and compliance with financial regulations.
• Architect solutions that integrate seamlessly with API gateways, facilitating secure, high-performance interactions between microservices.
• Lead the selection and implementation of API gateways (e.g., AWS API Gateway, Ocelot, Kong) to manage financial services APIs efficiently.
• Develop and enforce API standards and best practices, focusing on security, versioning, and compliance with industry regulations (e.g., PCI-DSS).
• Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor team members to enhance their skills.
• Ensure architectural solutions adhere to fintech-specific regulations and standards, including data privacy, security, and transactional integrity.
• Collaborate with compliance and security teams to address regulatory requirements and audits.
• Monitor and enhance the performance, scalability, and reliability of microservices and API gateway implementations, optimizing for high-throughput financial transactions.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and propose solutions to maintain optimal system performance.
• Stay informed on emerging technologies and trends within the fintech domain to drive innovation and maintain competitive advantage.
• Mention Security Aspect and knowledge of PCI audit is added advantage.
• Should have experience in Azure Cloud, CI/ CD

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Total 10+ years of experience in software industry, with atleast 5+years as Technical Architect. Experience in Fintech domain preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in the fintech domain, with a deep understanding of financial regulations and systems.
• Extensive experience with microservices architecture and API management platforms.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (e.g. Azure).
• Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and infrastructure as code.
• Familiarity with PCI DSS certification requirements and other industry-standard security protocols.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
