Systems Engineer
As a Systems Engineer at Applied Materials, you will design, integrate, and optimize complex systems that drive the semiconductor industry forward. Your role includes analyzing requirements, defining system architectures, conducting thorough testing, ensuring seamless integration of subsystems, identifying and mitigating risks, and ensuring that our systems meet the highest quality standards and exceed customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze system requirements and define system architecture.
- Develop and integrate subsystems, ensuring seamless operation.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of systems.
- Identify and mitigate risks to meet quality and customer expectations.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop advanced solutions.
- Prepare technical documentation, design reviews, and validation reports.
- Support product qualification, deployment, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5‑8 years of relevant experience in control systems, automation, mechatronics, and controller design.
- Experience in designing, implementing, and validating advanced control algorithms for robotics, motion control, and process automation.
- Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, Model‑Based Design, and Embedded Code Generation.
- Ability to develop mathematical models and perform system identification and parameter estimation.
- Experience with real‑time software platforms and performance optimization.
- Knowledge of AI/ML‐based solutions for intelligent control, diagnostics, and predictive system behavior.
- Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
- Experience in semiconductor equipment control system development is preferable.
