Job summary

Applied Materials India is seeking a results-driven systems engineer to support cross-disciplinary projects. You will work across electrical, mechanical, physics, algorithms, and software domains to develop and refine system specifications.

The role requires 2–4 years of related experience and a Bachelor's degree. You will lead a small team, triage issues to RCA closure, and contribute to AI-driven improvements while ensuring manufacturability and market readiness of designs.

Responsibilities

  • Support system engineering projects with electrical, mechanical, physics, algorithms and software design.
  • Assist in creating and writing the system engineering specification.
  • Perform and coordinate tests; provide feedback to product engineering and software.
  • Identify and troubleshoot moderately difficult engineering problems.
  • Support System Integration during assembly and testing of new designs.
  • Ensure designs meet market requirements and are reliable, safe, maintainable.
  • Assist in defining external equipment interfaces and document architectures.
  • Learn and contribute to the systems architecture development process.

Role Responsibilities
  • Support system engineering projects that have a substantial mix of electrical, mechanical, physics, algorithms, and software design, and understand the underlying system implications. Contribute to the system engineering specification within the field of expertise
  • Assist in creating the system engineering specification and write the portion of the system engineering specification pertaining to field of technical expertise
  • Perform and coordinate tests, and provide feedback to product engineering, physics, algorithms and software on new designs and ongoing engineering improvements
  • Identify and troubleshoot moderately difficult engineering problems in field of technical expertise, including serviceability and manufacturability
  • Support System Integration during the assembly and final testing of new product designs
  • Ensure all new designs of hardware and software meet market requirement specifications and are reliable, safe, user friendly and maintainable by the field
  • Assist in defining all external equipment interfaces, analyze architecture ideas and ensure they are up to date and documented.
  • Learn and begin contributing to the systems architecture development process.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2-4 years of related experience

Should be able to lead team of systems Engineers

Should be good at Triaging for issues for RCA to closure.

Should be good at Data and use of AI in various aspects that includes improving system and take the team to next level.

Should have understanding of every AIX product.
