Job summary

Senior Systems Administrator, Billing Systems at Quickbase Bangalore, India, will own day-to-day administration of the billing stack across product-led self-serve and enterprise invoicing. The role partners with Finance, RevOps, and Engineering to keep pricing, subscriptions, and revenue recognition accurate.

As the senior-most administrator, you will design platform strategy, lead migrations, mentor colleagues, and ensure data quality and reconciliation across Stripe, BillingPlatform, NetSuite,

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in billing systems administration, revenue operations, or SaaS billing in environments serving both enterprise and self-serve customers, including experience operating as the senior-most or lead administrator on a billing systems team
• Deep hands-on experience with Stripe: subscription management, payment processing, webhook configuration, dunning configuration, and PLG billing flows
• Hands-on experience with an enterprise subscription billing platform (e.g., BillingPlatform, Revenue Cloud, Zuora, Chargebee) - depth on any one of these matters more than tenure on a specific platform
• Development skills in building automation workflows in billing systems via API, webhooks, and other workflow configurations
• Familiarity with Salesforce CPQ: quote-to-cash process, price book structure, and integration touchpoints with billing systems
• Familiarity with billing-to-provisioning integration patterns and partnership with product engineering teams on subscription event propagation
• Experience supporting billing reconciliation with Finance through NetSuite or equivalent ERP
• Experience in B2B SaaS environments with both sales-led and product-led revenue motions
• Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional billing initiatives and mentoring less experienced administrators
• Preferred Stripe certification such as Stripe Associate
• Experience with usage-based pricing models, including metered billing, freemium conversion, and monthly self-serve
• Experience owning or co-owning tax configuration and integration layer in a SaaS billing environment, including tax rule management, product taxability, and billing platform integration
• Salesforce CPQ Specialist certification or hands-on CPQ experience
• Experience evaluating or migrating between billing platforms a plus

Responsibilities

• Billing Systems Administration: Own multiple billing platform administration for both PLG self-serve and SLG enterprise invoicing and billing
• Maintain pricing configurations, billing templates, and subscription structures as directed by Finance and RevOps
• Own dunning and revenue recovery configuration and monitor recovery rates
• Monitor platform health proactively and identify data issues before they surface in Finance reporting
• Serve as primary Stripe and enterprise billing platform contact for Finance, RevOps, and billing engineering team
• Lead the evaluation, planning, and execution of billing platform changes and migrations
• Quote-to-Cash Integrations: maintain CPQ-billing data flows and test PLG self-serve flows
• Provisioning Connectivity: ensure billing-to-provisioning data handoff works across PLG and SLG motions
• Data Quality & Reconciliation: run data quality checks and assist month-end close with clean data
• Mentor billing admins and contribute to team-wide best practices

Senior Systems Administrator, Billing Systems

Billing infrastructure is revenue infrastructure. In a business running an enterprise sales-led motion and a product-led self-serve motion in parallel, the configuration quality of that stack directly determines what Finance can close cleanly, what customers are billed accurately, and how much revenue is recovered when payments fail. We\'re hiring a systems administrator who treats it that way. The Senior Systems Administrator, Billing Systems is the senior platform expert across Quickbase's billing stack and a trusted operational partner to Finance, RevOps, and Product Engineering. This role owns day-to-day administration of and production support across the billing systems landscape in a scaled, dual-motion SaaS environment, currently anchored on BillingPlatform and Stripe, with the platform landscape expected to evolve. As the senior-most administrator on the team, this role also carries a higher bar for platform strategy, complex problem-solving, and mentorship of other billing systems administrators.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Billing Systems Administration
  Own multiple billing platform administration for both our product-led self-serve motion and sales-led enterprise grade invoicing and billing, including: payment methods, product and pricing catalog, subscription lifecycle, webhook monitoring, and dispute handling
  Maintain pricing configurations, billing templates, and subscription structures as directed by Finance and RevOps. When the price book changes, Billing Systems reflects it cleanly
  Own dunning and revenue recovery configuration: retry schedules, smart retry settings, grace period logic, and dunning email sequences.
  Monitor recovery rates and optimize the sequence over time.
  Monitor platform health proactively.
  Identify processing failures, data integrity issues, and configuration gaps before they surface in Finance reporting or customer invoices.
  Serve as the primary Stripe and enterprise billing platform contact for Finance, RevOps, and the billing engineering team.
  Execute configuration changes following change management controls: documented, tested, and deployed cleanly
  Lead the evaluation, planning, and execution of billing platform changes and migrations, and serve as the escalation point and subject matter expert for the most complex billing systems issues.
• Quote-to-Cash Integrations
  Maintain the integration between Selling/Quoting systems and Billing Systems so quote-to-cash data flows are intact and deals land correctly in relevant billing systems
  Support CPQ-related billing configurations in partnership with the CPQ Lead: price book alignment, quote output formats, and contract-to-subscription linkages
  Configure and test PLG self-serve billing flows for new product launches, pricing changes, free trial conversion logic, and self-serve subscription management
  Proactively identify quote-to-cash risks and dependencies across billing, CPQ, and provisioning systems, and drive resolution ahead of launches and pricing changes.
• Provisioning Connectivity
  Partner with Product Engineering on the billing-to-provisioning handoff across both PLG self-serve and SLG enterprise motions
  Maintain the billing-side integration touchpoints that connect Stripe and our enterprise billing platform to provisioning workflows, ensuring subscription and order events carry the right data for downstream customer access
  Monitor the billing-to-provisioning handoff and elevate with context when subscription or order events fail to propagate cleanly into customer access
  Support provisioning impact assessment when pricing, packaging, or tier structures change on the billing side
  Lead root-cause analysis on recurring or high-impact billing-to-provisioning failures and drive the resulting process or configuration improvements to closure
• Data Quality & Reconciliation
  Run regular data quality checks across billing systems: subscriber data, payment records, invoice history, and subscription states across SLG and PLG customers
  Support billing reconciliation across our enterprise billing platform, Stripe, Avalara, and NetSuite
  Support month-end and quarter-end close with clean, complete, defensible data for Finance reporting
  Maintain runbooks and escalation documentation for common billing data issues
  Mentor and provide technical guidance to other billing systems administrators, and contribute to team-wide best practices, standards, and documentation

QUALIFICATIONS

• 7+ years of experience in billing systems administration, revenue operations, or SaaS billing in environments serving both enterprise and self-serve customers, including experience operating as the senior-most or lead administrator on a billing systems team
