Job summary

Quickbase is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator for Billing Systems in Bangalore. You will own billing platform administration across PLG self-serve and sales-led invoicing, manage pricing catalogs, subscriptions, and dunning workflows, and partner with Finance, RevOps, CPQ, and engineering to ensure revenue integrity.

You will mentor junior admins and drive platform improvements.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in billing systems administration or SaaS billing.
• Hands-on experience with Stripe subscription management, webhooks, and PLG billing flows.
• Experience with enterprise billing platforms (BillingPlatform, Revenue Cloud, Zuora, Chargebee).
• Familiarity with CPQ integrations and provisioning interfaces.

In a business running an enterprise sales-led motion and a product-led self-serve motion in parallel, the configuration quality of that stack directly determines what Finance can close cleanly, what customers are billed accurately, and how much revenue is recovered when payments fail. We're hiring a systems administrator who treats it that way.The Senior Systems Administrator, Billing Systems is the senior platform expert across Quickbase's billing stack and a trusted operational partner to Finance, RevOps, and Product Engineering. This role owns day-to-day administration of and production support across the billing systems landscape in a scaled, dual-motion SaaS environment, currently anchored on BillingPlatform and Stripe, with the platform landscape expected to evolve. As the senior-most administrator on the team, this role also carries a higher bar for platform strategy, complex problem-solving, and mentorship of other billing systems administrators.WHAT YOU WILL DOBilling Systems AdministrationOwn multiple billing platform administration for both our product-led self-serve motion and sales-led enterprise grade invoicing and billing, including: payment methods, product and pricing catalog, subscription lifecycle, webhook monitoring, and dispute handlingMaintain pricing configurations, billing templates, and subscription structures as directed by Finance and RevOps. When the price book changes, Billing Systems reflects it cleanlyOwn dunning and revenue recovery configuration: retry schedules, smart retry settings, grace period logic, and dunning email sequences. Monitor recovery rates and optimize the sequence over timeMonitor platform health proactively. Identify processing failures, data integrity issues, and configuration gaps before they surface in Finance reporting or customer invoicesServe as the primary Stripe and enterprise billing platform contact for Finance, RevOps, and the billing engineering teamExecute configuration changes following change management controls: documented, tested, and deployed cleanlyLead the evaluation, planning, and execution of billing platform changes and migrations, and serve as the escalation point and subject matter expert for the most complex billing systems issuesQuote-to-Cash IntegrationsMaintain the integration between Selling/Quoting systems and Billing Systems so quote-to-cash data flows are intact and deals land correctly in relevant billing systemsSupport CPQ-related billing configurations in partnership with the CPQ Lead: price book alignment, quote output formats, and contract-to-subscription linkagesConfigure and test PLG self-serve billing flows for new product launches, pricing changes, free trial conversion logic, and self-serve subscription managementProactively identify quote-to-cash risks and dependencies across billing, CPQ, and provisioning systems, and drive resolution ahead of launches and pricing changesProvisioning ConnectivityPartner with Product Engineering on the billing-to-provisioning handoff across both PLG self-serve and SLG enterprise motionsMaintain the billing-side integration touchpoints that connect Stripe and our enterprise billing platform to provisioning workflows, ensuring subscription and order events carry the right data for downstream customer accessMonitor the billing-to-provisioning handoff and escalate with context when subscription or order events fail to propagate cleanly into customer accessSupport provisioning impact assessment when pricing, packaging, or tier structures change on the billing sideLead root-cause analysis on recurring or high-impact billing-to-provisioning failures and drive the resulting process or configuration improvements to closureData Quality & ReconciliationRun regular data quality checks across billing systems: subscriber data, payment records, invoice history, and subscription states across SLG and PLG customersSupport billing reconciliation across our enterprise billing platform, Stripe, Avalara, and NetSuiteSupport month-end and quarter-end close with clean, complete, defensible data for Finance reportingMaintain runbooks and escalation documentation for common billing data issuesMentor and provide technical guidance to other billing systems administrators, and contribute to team-wide best practices, standards, and documentationQUALIFICATIONS7+ years of experience in billing systems administration, revenue operations, or SaaS billing in environments serving both enterprise and self-serve customers, including experience operating as the senior-most or lead administrator on a billing systems teamDeep hands-on experience with Stripe: subscription management, payment processing, webhook configuration, dunning configuration, and PLG billing flowsHands-on experience with an enterprise subscription billing platform (e.g., BillingPlatform, Revenue Cloud, Zuora, Chargebee) — depth on any one of these matters more than tenure on a specific platformDevelopment skills in building automation workflows in billing systems via API, webhooks, and other workflow configurationsFamiliarity with Salesforce CPQ: quote-to-cash process, price book structure, and integration touchpoints with billing systemsFamiliarity with billing-to-provisioning integration patterns and partnership with product engineering teams on subscription event propagationExperience supporting billing reconciliation with Finance through NetSuite or equivalent ERPExperience in B2B SaaS environments with both sales-led and product-led revenue motionsDemonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional billing initiatives and mentoring less experienced administratorsPreferredStripe certification such as Stripe AssociateExperience with usage-based pricing models, including metered billing, freemium conversion, and monthly self-serveExperience owning or co-owning tax configuration and integration layer in a SaaS billing environment, including tax rule management, product taxability, and billing platform integrationSalesforce CPQ Specialist certification or hands-on CPQ experienceExperience evaluating or migrating between billing platforms a plusImportant NoticesRecorded Interviews.
