Job summary

Magna Electronics in Bengaluru seeks an experienced automotive software engineer to join our embedded team. You will contribute to radar system software, device drivers, and AUTOSAR BSW/CDD development across multiple MCU/SoC platforms.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in automotive software development.
  • Experience with radar systems (60 GHz / 77 GHz mmWave) is preferred.
  • Strong programming skills in Embedded C/C++.
  • Hands-on experience in Device Driver Development.
  • Experience in AUTOSAR BSW and/or CDD development.
  • Good understanding of SoC architectures and embedded interactions.
  • Knowledge of RTOS, Memory Stack, CAN/CANIF/CANTP/PDUR/COM, XCP Diagnostics, Ethernet, ISO 26262, Bootloader.
  • Experience with static analysis and tools like QAC.
  • Experience with multiple MCU/SoC environments (TI, ST, NXP).
  • Knowledge of SDLC and Python scripting for automation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop embedded software for automotive radar and related systems.
  • Work on device drivers and AUTOSAR BSW/CDD components.
  • Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to ensure safety and quality.
  • Contribute to SDLC activities and tool-assisted quality improvements.
  • Support safety standards (ISO 26262) in development workflows.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Experience 5+ years of hands‑on experience in automotive software development.
  • Experience in radar systems (60 GHz / 77 GHz mmWave) is preferred Requirements Strong programming skills in Embedded C/C++.
  • Hands‑on experience in Device Driver Development.
  • Experience in development and configuration of AUTOSAR BSW and/or Complex Device Drivers (CDD).
  • Good understanding of SoC architectures and embedded hardware/software interactions.
  • Strong understanding of: RTOS Memory Stack (NvM/FEE/FLS) Communication Stack (CAN/CANIF/CANTP/PDUR/COM) XCP Diagnostic Modules (DCM/DEM) Ethernet Stack Functional Safety (ISO 26262) Bootloader Time Sync.
  • Experience with static analysis and code quality tools such as QAC.
  • Experience working in multiple MCU/SoC environments such as: Texas Instruments (TI) STMicroelectronics (ST) NXP Similar embedded platforms.
  • Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Experience with Python scripting for automation and tooling.
  • Effective collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
