Job summary

SYSTRA India is seeking a Senior Structure Designer to join our metro and rail projects. You will lead design philosophies for viaducts, underground stations, and long-span bridges, and perform high-level reviews of structural models to ensure safety and durability.

You will coordinate interfaces between Civil, P-Way, Signaling and MEP, oversee advanced construction methods, and manage technical approvals with stakeholders and authorities.

Qualifications

• Post Graduate in relevant Field.
• Required total 23+ years of experience.
• 7+ years in relevant projects.

Responsibilities

• Design Leadership: Approving design philosophies for complex structures like viaducts, underground stations, and long-span bridges (Extra-dosed or Balanced Cantilever).
• Technical Vetting: Conducting high-level reviews of structural models (MIDAS/STAAD.Pro) and GFC drawings to ensure safety and 100-year durability.
• Interface Management: Coordinating critical technical boundaries between Civil, P-Way, Signaling, and MEP to prevent onsite clashes.
• Constructability & Innovation: Overseeing advanced construction methods like precast segmental launching and U-girder placement in dense urban environments.
• Stakeholder Liaison: Managing technical approvals with proof consultants, independent engineers, and government authorities.
• Risk & Value Engineering: Identifying structural optimizations to reduce material costs while mitigating construction risks and delays.
