Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Senior Subsea Structural Engineer in Hyderabad to lead design and analysis of offshore structures. You will mentor engineers, review critical calculations, and ensure project deliverables meet safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include coordinating design reviews, providing guidance on subsea installation and fabrication, and interfacing with clients to deliver cost-effective solutions in challenging environments.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 6 to 8 years of experience in the field.
• Experience in offshore subsea structural design per DNV/ASME/API codes.
• Experience in mentoring and leading engineers and delivering projects.
• Experience in reviewing engineering designs, documents, layouts, calculations and interpreting FEA results.
• Strong knowledge of solid mechanics and fluid dynamics.
• Proficiency with SACS and other beam-element software.
• Proficiency with ANSYS or Abaqus for structural analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Provides technically complex engineering solutions in particularly challenging project environments in accordance with TechnipFMC standards, procedures and processes, schedules and budget, with a continuous concern for quality, targets, and customer satisfaction.
• Independently performs structural design and analysis and supervises structural engineers performing design and analysis.
• Creates, reviews and approves technical engineering documents.
• Manages project design reviews and constructability reviews.
• Provides sound engineering advice on subsea structural analysis and design to ensure efficient and cost-effective fabrication, handling and subsea installation.
• Ensures technical compliance and quality as well as on‑time delivery of all responsible deliverables.
• Mentors and manages a team of engineers & designers.
• Attends meetings with project teams and interfaces with clients, providing engineering recommendations and solutions.
• Drives innovative solutions to optimize subsea structures and improve efficiency.
• Has demonstrated experience in supporting engineering for subsea projects constrained by safety, quality, delivery, and cost requirements.
• Travels to and attends sites as required to guide, inspect or oversee fabrication of structural items.

Requirements

• BS degree in Engineering preferred or equivalent.
• 6 to 8 years of experience in the field.
• Sound understanding of engineering practices, design methods & calculations.
• Experience in mentoring, leading a team of engineers & delivering projects.
• Experience in structural steel design preferably in offshore and subsea field (accordance with applicable industry code – DNV / ASME / API, etc.) and fatigue analysis.
• Experience in reviewing engineering designs, documents, layouts, calculations and interpreting FEA / structural analysis results.
• Strong knowledge of engineering discipline and physical modeling techniques (solid mechanics, strength of material, fluid dynamics) is required.
• Strong technical basis in engineering.
• Experience in SACS / other beam element software.
• Knowledge in finite element experience on ANSYS / Abaqus software.
• Ability to work in a team‑oriented environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English with ability to effectively transfer subject matter expertise.
