Job summary

SYSTRA India invites a seasoned Structural Engineer to lead design of metro and related infrastructure projects in India. You will contribute to underground stations, tunnels, and multi-disciplinary BIM-led design efforts, ensuring designs meet global codes and client expectations.

The role requires 7+ years of civil/structural experience, proficiency in STAAD, AutoCAD, Plaxis, and BIM workflows, and strong client interaction skills. On-site work in India with growing project portfolio.

Qualifications

• BE Civil and M.Tech in Structural Engineering preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in structural design.
• Experience with BIM and multi-disciplinary projects.
• Proficient in STAAD, Wallap, Plaxis, Adsec, and AutoCAD.
• Good technical and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform and check the design of Underground stations and Cut and Cover tunnels including both Permanent and Temporary Earth Retaining systems.
• Prepare reports and calculations in line with Indian and International Codes of Practice (EURO, BS, etc).
• Evaluate the practicality and constructability of proposed designs, ensuring feasibility of execution at site.
• Prepare structural drawings, reinforcement detailing, and comprehensive design calculations from the conceptual stage through detailed design, in compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.
• Assist in the preparation of Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and technical specifications for tendering purposes
• Knowledge of working on big multi-disciplinary projects on BIM.
• Oversee quality assurance of drawings, reports, and calculation deliverables to ensure accuracy and alignment with client expectations.
• Ensure compliance of the Systra Group policies, particularly on ethics, safety and adherence to Company ISO Standards.
