Job summary

Phensa Private Limited seeks a Senior Structural Designer to join its Engineering team, focusing on Marine, Offshore, and Oil & Gas projects. You will prepare, detail, analyze, and review complex structural designs and drawings, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.

Qualifications

• Diploma/B.Tech in Mechanical or Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• 10–15 years of relevant experience in structural design.
• Strong knowledge of Class Rules, regulations, and international standards.
• Expertise in steel and aluminum structures, including detailing.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and advanced drafting techniques.

Job description

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Structural Designer to join our Engineering team, specializing in Marine, Offshore, and Oil & Gas projects . The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, detailing, analyzing, and reviewing structural designs and drawings for complex engineering projects while ensuring compliance with industry standards and guiding junior designers.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, detail, and review structural drawings using AutoCAD.
• Provide guidance to junior designers in design and drafting tasks.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards, regulations, and project specifications.
• Collaborate with project teams on offshore, marine, and oil & gas structures.
• Independently manage assigned tasks, prioritize deliverables, and ensure timely completion.

Preferred Technical Expertise & Responsibilities

• Lead offshore structural design for jackets, topsides, FPSOs, and subsea systems.
• Execute structural analysis using STAAD.Pro , SACS, SESAM, ANSYS, or equivalent tools.
• Interface with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure project requirements and technical specifications are met.

Requirements

• Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical or Structural Engineering.
• 10–15 years of relevant experience in structural design.
• Strong knowledge of Class Rules, regulations, and international standards.
• Expertise in steel and aluminum structures, including structural detailing.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and advanced drafting techniques.
• Experience with 3D CAD modelling software is an advantage.
• Exposure to Marine, Offshore, or Oil & Gas industries is preferred.

• Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Mechanical or Marine Engineering .
• Expert proficiency in STAAD.Pro .
• Experience in SACS, SESAM, ANSYS, or equivalent structural analysis tools.
• Experience in EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) offshore projects.
• Knowledge of fabrication and installation practices.
• Expertise in fatigue analysis and non-linear structural analysis.
