Linxon Chennai is seeking a Senior SCM Engineer to lead Civil/Subcontract sourcing for 11kV to 400kV substations and wind projects. The role focuses on strategic procurement, RFQ management via SAP Ariba, price negotiations, and cost reduction across global suppliers.

You will collaborate with Tendering, Projects, and procurement teams, ensuring compliant contracts, robust supplier relationships, and adherence to LOA protocols while traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• Civil Engineer with 10-15 years’ minimum experience.
• Knowledge of Transmission/Distribution (11kV-400kV) Subcontract activities.
• Experience with subcontract agreements and international procurement.
• Familiarity with Oracle ERP and SAP Ariba platforms.

Responsibilities

• Execute all SCM activities for Civil/Subcontracts per procedures.
• Identify and onboard subcontractors per SCM strategies.
• Issue RFQs using SAP Ariba; obtain and negotiate prices/terms.
• Prepare cost estimates and price comparison analyses.
• Negotiate Subcontract Agreements and LOA approvals.

The purpose of the role is to provide the procurement expertise for the Civil /subcontract services activities for 11kV to 400kV substation and Offshore Wind Tenders and Projects.This role is both tender and project focused, therefore working to defined budgetary objectives, achieving successful sourcing solutions and implementing them to the full satisfaction of all stakeholders are key to the success of this role.
